HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!1111!!!!!!!!!!!11!!111!!!!!!!!!1111!!ONE!!!YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well it is one of Hitch's worst films. (I'd rank it as just about his worst American film. Yes-I would rather re-watch The Paradine Case or I Confess.) I've studied it countless times, and still after all these years find it highly annoying from a story standpoint. It is merely a technical exercise and nothing more. If the characters were more interesting and developed (more like The Trouble With Harry) then it might be better. I have always hated that this film is really the last Hitchcock film to be noticed by people. Despite their problems even Torn Curtain and Topaz present more challenging ideas. Marnie is a confused masterpiece. And Frenzy is brilliant.
The Green Hornet. The hornet logo reminded me that I would rather watch the TV series which was a ripoff of William Dozier's other show, Batman. The odd thing is, this movie really could have worked. Especially as a satire that deconstructs our odd fascination with these superheroes.
0 balls out of 5 green stinging balls.
