Joining vob files so that there's no 2-second gap in playback?

Hi there,

I have a question regarding playback of edited DVDs. I decrypted a couple of different Star Wars DVDs and edited them into one DVD via DVD Shrink.

I used DVD Shrink simply because I didn't have to do any reconverting or messing around with changing the decrypted DVD files. I could just snip and insert scenes as I saw fit. When I was done DVD Shrink encoded my files and placed them in a ready-to-burn folder. I know DVD Shrink isn't really made for editing, but my edits are relatively simple ones: I just want to remove certain things here and there and add certain scenes from other DVDs.

My problem is that every time I try to edit something out of a DVD using DVD Shrink, there's inevitably a very noticeable 2-second gap in playback like the DVD player's laser is moving on to the next chapter on the disc or something. What I'd like to do is figure out a way to join my files.

I've done some research on this and I came up with a VOB file merger. I tried it but it just left me with one big fat VOB file that my DVD burner didn't know what to do with.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

By the way if any of this was unclear (i.e. all of it) please let me know and I'll clarify.

Thanks

You know, after doing some more research on stuff I've decided this just isn't the way to do due to how crappy the edits look.

Expect some questions about Womble shortly... thanks.
