The Warb juggernaut does seem to have slowed a touch. I was going to try to not make any moves for the first month of the season, but I got too banged up. I also had to bail on my only Astro because I had personally watched him hose a couple of games for us.

had an interesting Phillies game tonight. It went into the 10th inning . . . then the 11th . . .then the 12th . . .then the 13th . . .then the 14th . . .then the 15th . . .then the 16th . . .then the 17th . . .then the 18th . . .and finally into top of the 19th with the Phillies using an emergency pitcher, Second baseman/shortstop Wilson Valdez(who got the side out), and ended in the bottom of the 19th with a hit from Ibanez. Phils win 5-4!

Speaking of baseball, I took this week off. We used the time for our first honey extraction of the year and to meet with a forestry biologist regarding conservation cutting on some land. So that it wasn't all work this week off, I took in a day game - Astros\Dodgers.

I was watching the game and they stopped it in the 5th to make the switch and call him back to the dugout. It was surreal to see him running in and then hugging the guys goodbye on the bench. No announcement had been made, but we didn't need one. We knew what had just happened.
At least he's going somewhere where he has a real chance to go the World Series. You guys will probably be able to put some ground between yourselves and the Braves. They've got a big hole in their line-up speed-wise & stolen base-wise. Plus they need a center fielde....
