So in the Clone Wars cartoon is this thread recommending that Yoda be shown going to Speech Therapy class? That would be an excellent episode.

Great idea! But he's that bad minutes before he goes to Dagobah, so maybe it's a correspondence course he only does when he has the free time in exile.

But how does he fit that in when he's teaching Street Hip Hop on Wednesdays?
IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

Yea Drew, I was thinking Old Trilogy and New Trilogy, inspired by the Bible. =)
I tried not to be biased in my collection and interpretation of the data, but I'd be lying if I didn't start with the knowledge that the original movies are considered pure and inviolate by most of the people reading these posts. That being said, I think the data speaks for itself.
Hmm, destroyed Star Wars Lucas has. Once you start down the dark path forever will it dominate your destiny.
Hard to see the dark side is. Harder even for a billionaire to afford a decent transfer of a classic film trilogy.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
Very interesting. I always knew there was something seriously wrong with the way Yoda talks in the prequels, but never really went to the trouble of thinking about it in depth before. My understanding of grammatical principles is based much more on how they sound than the specific terminology of sentence structure (I can convincingly write in different speech modes without necessarily being able to describe exactly why it should sound a certain way). These results definitely fit with the sense of wrongness previously perceived, and I agree that Yoda's speech was much less convoluted and more intelligible originally.
I seem to recall hearing or reading an interview with Lawrence Kasdan at one point where he said that he was very careful and deliberate in choosing exactly how Yoda would phrase things, and what sort of sentence structure he would use. Since he was not involved with the prequels, obviously this did not carry over to those films.
doubleofive, you should send your research over to these folks: (via tf.n)

at least post it in the comments, see if you can get on Daniel Wallace's radar.

Suddenly it all makes sense.
I know it's been a while, hope all is well with your daughter Tim! =)
Thanks for the concern! She's doing very well -- she got through the surgery, the arm restraints are off, and she's sweeter than ever. She just had her first birthday, and everyone we see tells us she's the cutest baby they've ever seen. =)
For those interested, I have adapted this study into a cohesive article:

I still don't understand anything Tim said, but at least all of our work now resides somewhere less forum-y!
The formatting could use some standardization, and maybe Tim should be my "college roommate", as Mrs O'Five might be offended. ;-)

Thread link you should. Discussion over, is not.
Yeah, the formatting I think is from the pasting of his posts. I'll correct it soon, and also I forgot that Tim doesn't live with you anymore. :p It's weird, because looking at the article in Chrome the formatting is correct, be in IE it's all inconsistent. Looks like I'll have to do some HTML editing.
None: I will happily update or correct the article if there is any significant contributions to the discussion in the future.

Speaking Correct Order of Words Yoda Is by MechaStewart

Frank Oz was the voice of the wise and beloved Yoda and, more than 30 years after the character’s debut, not a month goes by without a fan approaching Oz with a simple request — but the answer is always the same: Do the impression he won’t.
The 68-year-old Hollywood Renaissance man — Muppet puppeteer, movie director and the voice behind the pint-sized Jedi master — holds his characters too sacred for such tripe.
“You wouldn’t parade your kids around like that, would you?” he said. “They’re part of me. I won’t use them as a party favor to impress people.”
Ok, but Yoda wasn't too sacred for the tripe known as the prequels?
