Not to step on your toes there, stormtrooper, but the last three pages are full of people asking for MySpleen invites, to download the saga.
I'd say it's pretty obvious by now.

Hello!  New to these boards, but a long time OOT diehard (with the VHS, laserdisc, and GOUT versions to prove it.)  I'm very interested in these restorations... anyone have an extra "invite"?   Many thanks to DarkJedi for all the effort he's clearly put into these.

Hi Guys,

Got the movies, managed to burn to DL disks. Did the cases, and lighscribed the labels. Watched and enjoyed them.

But I'm used to watching my SE DVD's, and found the picture quality of the downloads not to be on par with the DVD's. I totally understand this is because of the orignal source.

I don't want to rain on Dark_Jedi's parade, and really appreciate all the work he and anyone else does trying to provide alternate editions for everyone.

Does anyone know if there is a better picture quality available, on par with the DVD's but obviously with the majority of the CGI crap.

You are not "raining on my parade", if you don't like them, you don't like them.

Thanks to DarkJedi, (and some time learning about torrents and dual layer DVD burning), I was able to download and burn his V3 discs.  Spent last night watching Star Wars, and I'm personally VERY pleased!  I switched back and forth between the V3 disc, the GOUT disc and the SE disc.  I'm happy to say that horrible, hazy grain that plagued much of the GOUT scenes on the Tantive IV and Tatooine is largely gone with the V3!  Whew!  And I absolutely loved seeing the subtitles back they way they should be for Greedo's scene.

As for the V3 vs the SE discs, I was shocked at how much the colors were altered for the SE.  I'd read about it, but hadn't really done the comparison for myself... it was really quite a surprise.  VASTLY prefer the original coloring... Luke's landspeeder shouldn't be hot pink!  Naturally, the SE disc had a bit more detail, but the V3 disc wasn't bad at all in this regard (at least on my 52 inch LCD)  I've certainly seen DVD's that looked worse.

Love all the audio options on the V3 as well... the isolated score in paticular is a real treat.

This is clearly now my preferred way to watch the original trilogy.  I've seen it on pan-and-scan VHS, widescreen VHS, Definitive Collection laserdiscs, the Faces laserdiscs, and the GOUT discs, and this V3 collection is by far the best quality of these options.  Until Lucasfilm finally relents and releases a full restoration of these movies on Blu-Ray, I'll be quite happy watching these.  Many thanks to Dark_Jedi and all those who helped him to make the V3 happen!

I'd love to watch this if at all possible.  Is there any chance someone could pretty please send me an MS invite?

If television is chewing gum for the mind, then the prequels are the worlds first visual laxative.

dark_jedi, forgive me if this is being too bold, but is there any chance you could post or PM any of the G-force modified Avisynth script(s) you used for the V3 DVD's? Thanks in advance  :)

Any chance of getting in on this? I've been watching the "Star Wars Begins" fanedit documentary and it's regenerating my love of the originals and I'd love to see the efforts put into these if possible.

Thanks. :)

Feel free to post the PM in the thread, someone of us will one day make a blu-ray, learning from someone who's accomplished the task would be helpful.

Thanks for that awesome V3 set.  What kind of help do you need for the BluRay set?

Waiting on ESB and ROTJ menu's, but I have not heard from my partner in a while, so at this particular point, I have NO idea what is going on.

But to answer your question, I needed menu help, I have ALL audio\video finished, it has been finished for a pretty long time now.

It's a shame that the menu guy is taking so long to help you out, especially with the audio and video ready to go. Wish I knew something about authoring menus, but unfortunately I have no knowledge in that area.
