Well the receding logo and crawl are created in 3dsmax and exported as png image sequences with an alpha channel. Then these are imported into after effects and a few tweaks are added such as a slight perspective change and the gradient change (darkening) as it goes into the distance. It's also only set for 720p. I don't know if he will want to release his 3dsmax project file but i'll ask.

Maybe if he's very generous and knows his stuff, he could create a scripted program that does all those steps you mentioned automated, much like that Star Wars TSG Crawl generator. ;-)

On another unrelated note, i am going to be celebrating a little tonight so any later posts may become a little garbled. lol. I have just found out today that i am going to become a Grandad :)

I turn 44 on Tuesday. And yeh, i do feel old now. I think it's funny that she found out she was pregnant today of all days on George Lucas' birthday. the force is going to be strong with this one. I've already picked seen some Star wars babygrows. She is going to hate me. lol

Congrats Ady, I'm 2 years behind you but my eldest is 12 so I hope it will be a wile till I'm a gramp, anyway did notice something funny about that font, the way it behaves when f&i are placed beside each other.....

i did say it's only a rough version. the text has only been created to get the angle speed etc correct and is only set to DVd res at the moment. I have to do the high resolution text file to send him

I'm sorry if this was answered before but was it ever confirmed if the theatrical cuts are included in the blu-ray release?

EDIT: Well this is embarrasing. A simple google search answered my question. If this post could be deleted then that would be appreciated.

Don't feel bad Ady, I am 43 but still feel like my mid 20's LOL, but I now have a Grand Daughter, and she just turned 1.
