Random thought: Blast points on stationary sandcrawler too accurate for Sandpeople, who incidentally can shoot down racing pods that are too fast for most humans to pilot.
...and his sister's pants changed colar, too.

Through inbreed the next generation of sandpeople is a whole lot dumber. They couldn't hit a barn, even if they were inside.
I find it funny that twice in A New Hope its Han who calls Leia "sister" in conversation.

Even more comical when coupled with the suggestion that stormtroopers, those dead-eye marksmen of the galaxy, must've been responsible instead.

Landoscapes would make a great landscaping business for Billy Dee.
Blasted Wedge ... WHERE ARE YOU?
However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Touché Turtle.
Guys, does anyone know what the hell is this about?
http://www.cinenet.net/~agrapha/StarNet/SW.html
It's from 1996. Looks like a speculation site.
All sources are considered, but mostly the information is found on the internet.
I remember seeing stills from the IMAX film in Star Wars Insider and thinking that it looked pretty but the explosive bubble was really fake looking and the angles were all wrong.
I've never seen that footage in motion, it would be a welcome inclusion on the HD sets with the restored OTT in, that I will definitely buy full price.
More info here, here (if you can get the video to work) and here.
This is not the shot used in the '97 SE and hasn't been seen in any version of the movie.
Your brain just makes s**t up!
A fate worse than death? Having your head digitally replaced with that of Hayden Christensen!
Here's another OT.com thread with some additional details on "Special Effects":

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
TWC289 contains a news report of the IMAX 'Special Effects'. Interviews Ben Burtt and shows some of the sequences.

Thought you guys might like this one:
However, Episode 4 ruined 5 and 6 because of the Death Star blowing up so easily and then built back up so quickly
But....even if you watch the PT first...it doesn't matt-

I'm currently showing my younger siblings the Star Wars Holiday special. They seem to like it though, so that's worrying...

It's really kind of a silly/fun romp. Parts are crineworthy, but IMHO the legend is worse than the product.
Well we're currently at the wookiee porn bit and they're all giving me weird looks. I just keep telling them that it gets worse...

The worst part of the Holiday Special for me is simply it's length - it's too long and except for the cartoon, rather boring. I don't take it very seriously, so the stupidity of it all doesn't really bother me.
Now, for stupidity that does bother me.
Yep, the proto-Jedi & proto-Sith colour coded their swords.
The EU gets worse all the goddamn time.
Im a Kentucky fan and I hate Louisville, might be why I really liked it when Luke's saber was blue and Darth's was red.
Silly change to green...

What. In. The. Blue. Hell. is that from?!?
I need to know so I can avoid it, burn down wherever sells it, and salt the Earth.

Oh fuck sakes...
And they still have the stupid robes. Man! I guess we should all still be wearing chainmail armour or something because it's not like styles change at all or anything...

AHEM
It's about force wars, or something...

Well, I for one think this picture looks kind of cool. It's a bow to the real world samurai origin of the Jedi. And as to the robes, the Jedi are basically a religious cult - look at how monks dressed hundreds of years ago and how they dress now, practically no change there.
