The 1985 mix has much less dynamic range and the 1993 mix added new sound effects. That's the main difference from my memory.

Pretty silly of them to not include "HD" in the press release.  Of course, they also misspelled "conversation," so there you go.

I truly don't expect we will ever see a proper release of the originals, the only slim chance I see of it is George's passing, but even after that I wouldn't hold my breath. But shutting up and accepting it isn't going to accomplish anything either.

I really like how he felt the need to add the word "really" before "old school", just to suggest anyone interested in the originals is partially fossilized and living out their end in a nursing home sleeping with the faces VHS set clutched tightly to their chest every night. I'm for one am not even thirty yet.

LMAO!, you crack me up, I did have a long winded come back but after reading some of your other posts, I decided not to, just is not worth it, and you can call me whatever you want, if it makes you feel better about yourself, go for it.

Most people that know me know that I would LOVE to have an official release of the UOT, that is a fucking given, I grew up watching these in the Theaters, but I am a realist, if he has not budged yet, maybe he won't ever, but then again, maybe he will at some point, I am content enough to wait, and not bicker every fucking day like some here, and other places.

I'm also a realist, and if George Lucas is as much of a cold, calculating businessman as he seems, I imagine he'll release the UOT in a few years on Bluray to cash in on both those that demand the originals and those die-hard fans that will buy anything with 'Star Wars' written on it. The same as the GOUT.

Whether it'll be Blu-Ray quality though remains to be seen.

Hmmm, judging by your defensive reaction, you seem to feel like I was attempting to insult you. That isn't the case. I didn't call you anything, I just said that when you make these sort of posts you come off as a typical GL apologist. And you do. I've been on this site for over five years now, I know very well that you are not really one and would love to have the UOT released.

The whole point of my post was explaining to you why we enjoy sharing the way we feel about this with each other. But your reaction says none of that got through. When you jump in and complain about us "bickering every fucking day" it makes it feel like we are at someplace like TF.n, not ot.com.

Expect us to continue our "bickering every fucking day", because this is the place we can go to do so and find other frustrated fans to commiserate with who feel the exact same way. I too am a realist, and my realism tells me the only OOT we are every going to get will be the versions we make for ourselves, which I am very grateful to you for your contributions. As great as those fan made versions are, I am still going to talk about not having an official release with my fellow fans who share that same lament.

I've read your other posts, dark_jedi. All you've done for the last few pages is complain about people who are venting frustration, and pat yourself on the back that you're above all that. Good for you.

but back on topic, You know you guys are right, this is the internet, and it is a Forum, who am I to say who should and who shouldn't complain about the same issues in every post, every day, if that is what needs to happen for some, then who am I to say you shouldn't, I am sorry for anything I have said, it just seems like a waste to me when we have s SO many other topics on this board that we can talk about that are a lot more positive than this, because we all know this for fact, NO UOT this September right? and we also know that we will NOT see any other release for a very, very long time, so hopefully, it will get a release then, at least that is what I hope anyways.
