Well, that sucks. You'd think Cameron would pony up some of his Avatar zillions if the studios are too chicken to do an R rated animated film.

I think we need to start rumors about a THX sequel. ;)

You know what was worse.  The only restored version of Ghost in the Shell the original has added bad cgi, a new soundtrack and new color timing, they Lucasized the damn thing and it sucks.

The non Restored Blu ray is infinitely preferable.

SilverWook: Would you please be willing to check the subs for the Italian THX before it's uploaded for real? it would be great if you could do that as you know the film and all its differences, and most importantly, you now the English language better than erri_wan and me. Just check grammar, typos etc.

I was also thinking about the video, then you would be able to check the timing and placement for me as well, but the sub file alone would be ok though.

Ok, thanks for helping out. :) I think I'll just send you the subfile then, I have checked all the timings again and they are fine.

I just want all your opinions again on how to handle the many computer graphic displays. I remember you asked me before Silver, if I could make blue colored subs that matched the films displays and place the specific lines beside their Italian counterpart, although it was a great idea, I think we'll just have to give up on that unfortunately. I'm sorry.

1st: I don't think you would know where to look as the whole screen will get cluttered, and these sequences are very short in duration.

2nd: Some of the screens are animated so I don't know how aestethically pleasing it would be to have the subs spread out all over the screen before the graphic animation is fully in place.

3rd: Some displays don't have room for it.

Anyway, if it wasn't bad enough that these computer displays are short in duration, they also have dialogue in some instances. So the least important info to the story will have to go, if we don't want 7 rows of text that we're not gonna be able to read unless we paused. Fortunately most of that dialogue is gibberish. I'll go max 3 rows and split them up if it is more text, more than 3 gets damn ugly and hard to read IMO.

Which one of these two stays? the dialogue below is spoken by the Hologram in the middle of the sequence.

I fully agree with you, just wanted to hear your thoughts on it.

Some of these computer display sequences really makes your head explode in those rare instances where you're also able to hear the original English dialogue beneath the Italian dub. Too much info at the same time. :)

I've found yet another nice original 1976 release poster done by Averardo Ciriello:

It was a big (140 x 198 cm) two-panel poster, which means that it was printed in 2 sections. The same art that was used for the smaller ones...

unfortunately I haven't found it uncensored and in better quality. :(
