Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released) — Page 92

I understand it's not for everyone, as my post indicated.

What I meant to say was that, nevertheless, I am impressed by the seemingly "crazy" idea. Furthermore, I'd be interested to know more about the process you put the '06 DVDs through to arrive at a release suitable for a BR-D.

My stance on revising fan edits.

Not going to work anyways because I have no Team, and Frink is absolutely right, he has read my statements over the years LOL, I do not like filesharing sites at all, so when these are out to the testers and my Menu guy, and all have been gone through thoroughly, then and only then I will decide how the hell I am going to do this, right now, I still need to finish them first, hopefully ESB will be done this weekend.

This is probably why I have a couple more people donating blanks this time then when I did the V3 project, to large of files to download, and some just do not have burners, and some just want to have a nice set sent to them already done and ready to play.

Who knows, maybe I might just upload them to myspleen and just seed as I can, do 1 every 2 weeks or so, maybe.

dark_jedi: Looks very impressive. :) About the DTS-HD Master Audio, was that newly encoded at 2098 kbps from the lossless master audio file of hairy_hen's restored Star Wars 70mm 5.1 "purist" soundtrack?

Thanks for any info. :)

Yes it is, and the "purist" versions are the only ones that will be on this set, some may notice a difference between the DTS-HD MA 5.1 compared to the Dolby Digital 5.1, some may not, but my oldest Son said it was pretty cool seeing the DTS-HD on his receiver LOL, either way it is on there and not going anywhere, it is what it is.

That's great. This means that pretty much every ounce of detail from the restored Star Wars 70mm 5.1 master lossless soundtrack should have been captured in this new encoding with very high bit-rates. Thus giving maximum audio quality. It must sound superb. :)

The Star Wars trilogy. There can be only one.

I just want to Thank Everyone that has downloaded this Set, I have not been keeping up on what has been going on, and I am pretty amazed that this many people actually snatched these, I truly hope you all like them, this pic is pretty cool.

Hi Dark_Jedi,

Have got A New Hope and can play on my laptop. Looks fantastic. Many thanks

Is it designed to be burnt to DVD? ImgBurn says it is too big for 4.7GB DVD. Dunno if things are different, am in the UK.

Yeah, these are double layer DVDs, which is an absolute necessity with all the sound-mixes included.

Harmy is absolutely right, you do NOT want to shrink these unless you plan on stripping some of the audio.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies. I was just about to use DVDshrink. Just been reading about dual layer DVD's (can't believe how out of touch I am)

Gonna get some tomorrow so I can burn. Think this is the solution?

Thanks again. (Damn Mr Lucus)

Seconding the awesomeness of dual-disk'ing.

If possible, I'd like to get an MS invite too. Thx.

I do not fear the Dark Side as you do.

Hey Dark_Jedi,

This is awesome. with the new blu rays out and sorely lacking the original theatrical releases I went in search of them online. Since I do have the VHS's (thx remasters from the mid 90's) but I dont have a VHS player. Could I get an invite to download your V3 dvd copies of the three original movies? I really want to watch them again as I remember them from when I was a kid. Which, thanks to mr lucas is practically impossible now.

Are these on usenet or a filehoster available? I don't trust the torrent-method.

Don't think so.

Unless someone else uploads them elsewhere (with DJ's permission of course)
