I just read some mildly interesting reviews of the blu ray releases over at Amazon. It looks like several people view things the way we do, but there are still the hordes of LFL worshippers defending everything Lucas has done to degrade the films.

I know its been said over and over but Star Wars is not what it used to be (to the masses, anyway). I think the changes to the overall genre happened so gradually that the general public didn't even notice what was taking place.

How can they even honestly call it the 'original trilogy'?
