I’ve been mulling on this for a few weeks in the heading to the release of Thor.  I’m absolutely fascinated by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and how Marvel has tied its movies together in the lead up to the Avengers.

One thing that has struck me, however, is that the timeline for the movies isn’t as simple as Iron Man comes first, followed by The Incredible Hulk, etc.  The timelines in the movies seem to overlap, such as Nick Fury and Agent Couslon making reference to something happening in New Mexico in Iron Man 2.  This is obviously in reference to Thor, and it is happening at the same time as Iron Man 2.  The same can be said about the news report about Hulk seen at the end of Iron Man 2.

My thinking is if all of these event take place at the same time, especially with characters such as Coulson and Fury crossing over, why can’t it all be one, in this case multi-part, epic movie that carries all of the events leading to when the Avengers will finally assemble?

What I’m going to try and do is meld the scenes of the movies together in as best chronological order as possible, but still allowing the storylines to make sense.  The story would, essentially, bounce between characters similar to how LOTR was filmed.  Hopefully… 😃

I have found a link that tries to put events in order, and I think that it will be a good starting point.  <span style=“border-collapse: collapse; font-family: arial, sans-serif; line-height: normal;”>http://www.filmbuffonline.com/FBOLNewsreel/wordpress/2011/05/02/a-marvel-cinematic-universe-timeline/</span>

I’m open to suggestions, and look forward to any feedback.  Thanks guys.
