Is this still on? :)

It's very much still on. =)  Just to prove I've been working.... Here is a clip I was playing with.... This is a rough test and still needs some audio issues ironed out. And I will also say this will probably change to just simply the removal of Sith from the scene. I was toying with the idea of giving Qui-Gon more meat, but I don't think it works, and there really isn't a payoff.

I'll check this out when I get home from work.

Thanks. I'd like to get some feedback from people. Maybe someone on here may have an epiphany based on the scene.

Not really knowing how the scene originally plays out without a script in front of me, I can't comment too much on it, but i know the 'Qui-Gonn is less than perfect' thing has been mentioned many times among fan editors, so I guess it's something a lot agree that could/should be alluded to.

Well I guess I'm thinking in terms of payoff. If I went this route, how could a proper payoff be achieved?

I guess I'll have to settle for no feedback for this clip. Moving along....

It's no problem. I guess people just simply have no opinion on this specific clip. I believe I've made a firm decision about it.... Don't need to sit on this one for too long.

Meanwhile I'm chopping the battle of Geonosis to pieces and working on CC tests.

Still working on this.

Almost done with the cuts, and then I move on to credits, and then perhaps some effects work... It's getting there.

I'm really looking forward to this. If you have any more clips or concepts that you want to talk out, feel free to PM here or on FE.

Too heavy. They look like more fake now because they look blue.

Teal and orange side effect for those who hate Michael bay :P

I say remove the blues for the CC shot at least 75% Then turn the altered reds/magentas to an oranger one like the original.

I hope you dont have problems with the skintones otherwise it will look crushed and fake ;)

Yeah, this has already changed a lot. Thanks for the feedback though. I think those changes are over at fe.org... Don't quote me though.

So, it's getting closer... Working on the dreaded credits at the moment which has proven to be a huge task considering everything is doubled due to the footage I've had to use for this. But it is still progressing. I repeat, this project is not dead. =)

*Such a nice typo I'm going to leave it as is.

I think it should replace "thanks"

Credits are complete... Now I go into polishing mode, visual FX.... It's getting close.

Almost there Benja.

Your perseverance is an inspiration.

I hope you find a colour balance you can feel happy with.

I feel I have. It's a bit more subtle but it works... But, i'm not 100% sure on it all yet. Geonosis is the most problematic area. However, my latest work makes it look more like tattooine than geonosis which in my opinion is a vast improvement. In other words, I've managed to remove that awful orange haze.

I've learned that you can easily overdo color correction/grading. So, I'm trying to take it easy.

Nice! Congrats on the progress. Did you have to add a lot of music to the credits?

Actually no, not at all.... Premiere timed the rolling credits perfectly to the music. I was really impressed.
