I can't believe they're giving us Anatomy of a Dewback. You can watch that on the official site.

Ha!!!

They put all the fucking garbage on a ninth disc and they can't even bother to restore 10 minutes worth of footage to give us the MOTHERFUCKING OOT in a watchable format!?! Lucas is worse than Uwe Boll, Michael Bay, and M. Night Shayamalan combined. At least they don't change their movies every five minutes and withhold the original versions from the public, and send you to prison for watching these movies (due to copyright/piracy laws). I think Lucas even burns every frame of the negative of the OOT with a match just to pass the time.

Kinda telling though that there's no documentaries specific on the PT (which is a good thing). Wish I could enter a store and say "Give me Disc 8 and 9 from this set, thank you very much!".

No Star Wars to Jedi doc then? That's my fav one! Still seeing the original docs presumably in HD would be pretty awsome.

IFFFF the deleted scenes mentioned happen to be ALL the bits that were cut/altered for the SEs then I'll have to pre-order this. If not no sale I think!

Still no webpage here in the UK - pretty piss poor show I have to say!

Strange how they haven't put "from star wars to jedi: making of a saga" on there though

They have to same something for the next release!

They did this to make our lives miserable. This is what I have been saying about LFL for a time now; the manipulate our nostalgia for these films to sodomize us over and over again because we are the addicts and they are the dealers. There is an infinite demand and and an infinite supply: the suppliers can do whatever the hell they want with the fans because they cannot let go of SW. No one can. They always sink lower and lower and it will never stop.

I think some of us need to calm down a little...... "they did this to make our lives miserable" - Ridiculous comment!

No matter how much we want the originals, they ARE just films. Take a look on the front page of any news channel to see what really IS important, and the true suffering many people are going through......

The only information I wanted (and the only part of this bluray release that interests me) is about the deleted scenes - what they’re gonna be, and more importantly if they’ll be remastered.

What a pathetic “announcement”, only matched by the patheticness of the extras. Possibly a new low for Lucasfilm this.

It wouldn't surprise me if the OT docs are just pulled from the laserdisc masters. Strange how they haven't put "from star wars to jedi: making of a saga" on there though

Laserdisc ports on Blu-Ray? Who'd of thought that? ;)

Maybe they'll get the extras right in 2027, you know ...the 50th anniversary, when the movies will be in hologram format. lol

Oh, but we still won't get the OOT then, oh no, hell would need to freeze over for that. :P

On a serious note, you know why I'm anxious to VIEW this release?

1/ To see if they have the balls to admit they f*cked up hard in 2004 with the DVD release i.e. colours, sabres, music, etc and have fixed that crap
(I STILL cannot believe they missed the green sabre during the Falcon chess game scene, doesn't LucasFilm employ Star Wars geeks and fanboys? Their docos suggest they do, although they are all yes men)

2/ To see if George is even sadder than last time and alters the films again.

My money is on the second one at the very least.

Just films? Tell LFL that; they believe that the PT is the greatest work of art since the Illiad, and every film in the franchise is designed to be a drug and not a film. I hate to admit it, but even ANH and ESB were products to control you on a subconscious level and make money for LFL.

The shoddy treatment of these films is one of the reasons the world is so miserable today. Granted, it is a small part of that misery, but is part of the great skyscraper of misery that is the modern age. Look at how low Hollywood has gone today: they are making movies out of board games, for fuck's sake. They are making movies on par with an Ed Wood movie every week now. They have not made even a halfway decent film in 10 years. It is so bad I can't even remember the last time I went to a movie theater because there is so much shit in our multiplexes. All they care about is the opening weekend profits, so they make a movie not on any original idea anymore but just a remake of a remake so that it will have familiarity with the audience. It's no wonder that American film is dead and there is absolutely no hope of it ever recovering in our lifetimes. You no longer have an outlet of escape like you did in the 30s and 40s, during the Golden age of Hollywood; nor do you have a generation of great filmmakers like in the New Hollywood era to see a work of art. That is why part of the world is so miserable today.

I really HATE to state the obvious, but if you guys do not like what is being offered, don't buy it!, most of you already set this up for a "fail" anyways, so why all the shock and awe now, year after year, release after release, you guys don't get what you want, shouldn't that tell you something, my GOD.

This is why some of us here are trying to preserve the "Original" version the best we can, because nothing I say, you say, or this whole site says, is going to change anything, no use in being pissed off all day over this LOL.

Author
Time

Seriously, none of those features on the super-special bonus disc sound good, except for the ones we already have. No "Making an Empire", no new feature that encompasses all 6 movies. No details on the films themselves, no details on the trilogy-specific bonus features.

Thanks, LFL. So now I know that I don't need to buy the whole saga box.
