I have the Sumvision Cyclone MKV 2 media enclosure and this seems to play anything i throw at it (apart from files that have used the newer mkvmerge with its compression header, but running it though an older version first, which only takes a few seconds and everything plays fine). It outputs DTS fine. You can either stick a drive into the enclosure, use an external hard drive , or both. transferring files is easy as you just plug it into the PC or use it over a network.
Considering the item description do you think this is worth a low bid?
Does it sound easy to fix?
How often would you need to use the eject button anyway?
The eject button is on the side underneath the side panel so you can easily slot in a 3.5" hard drive. But if that is broke then the hard drive won't be secure as this hold the hard drive in place. You can always attach a couple of external hard drives though. The wi-fi dongle is a nice little addition, but if you want to stream 1080p mkv's then it would be better streaming over Ethernet. It looks like the MKV2 is getting harder to find on the net now. Probably because the new Primus models have now come out, but these no longer have ethanet or any buttons on the box. But if you are going to bid on that mkv2 enclosure on ebay then i wouldn't go over about £45 as i don't think it would be worth it with the damage, unless you only wanted to use external drives
