Honestly, I don't know what that means.  I don't know much about the sound.  The term "1977 Special Edition" is foreign to me.  Are you saying the video is Special Edition ('97 or '04?) and the audio is '77?

It’s a bit of each all mixed together makes my stomach growl. LOL

Its basically STAR WARS 1977 with Lucas using the force to trick our weak minds into think the visuals are the same with his ILM team.

Then he forces Skywalker sound to trick us even more.

I keep wondering what happened to the stolen 70mm print of Jedi that grew magic legs and walked out the cinema in the UK or was it USA or was it simultaneous coordinated theft by two parties?

This means that someone still has a stolen "Return of the Jedi" 70mm print if its still in good condition not! The colour would have faded and the mag stripe would no doubt be so fragile if ran though a projector it might break-up or has flaked away, due to poor storage.

Remembering "Return of the Jedi"

A print of the film (a 70mm print valued at $10,000) was stolen at gunpoint from the GLENWOOD Theatre in Overland Park, Kansas. The CENTRE Theatre in Salt Lake City, Utah experienced some weather-related damage, prompting its 70mm “Jedi” engagement to be relocated for a two-week period to the REGENCY. An engagement at the CONTINENTAL Theatre in Denver, Colorado was terminated following damage from a fire.

I’d say who ever stolen it was STAR WARS nut or some serious pyrite who would shoot someone to get a film print so that he can make money off something that doesn’t belong to him.
