The sub-200 tablets are pretty crappy. The screens usually aren't the nice kind of touch screen (you know, the ones you have to PUSH instead of the ones you can just tap on, which makes Android a nightmare to navigate), the hardware is usually slow, and little to no support for updates to the OS.

I mean, the Motorola Xoom is incredible, but its price makes the iPad look like affordable. Doesn't stop me from wanting one. I'm getting an iPad 2 here at work next week, I'll let you know how I like it.

This Coby one is getting strangely high marks.  I don't think I've ever owned any Coby stuff, but their cutthroat prices and usually poor reviews have formed the opinion in my mind that they are just junk.

It has the "resistant" screen of which you wrote, and it's only 480p... but people seem to still like it for $130.

And it's easily rootable, which I think means you can update it to whatever Android OS is latest, right?
