I am also really, really, really, really, really looking forward to Gervais and Merchant's upcoming series Life's Too Short which is to be a fictionalized biographical series in the vein of Curb following Warwick Davis. Warwick Davis, Ricky Gervais, and Stephen Merchant, there is really nothing about that combination of names that isn't mind bogglingly exciting. Just based on the too good to be true premise, this is going to be the greatest TV show of all time.

Didn't know about that. How many times do you think Warwick will get kneed in the face?

I didn't either, but it sounds awesome.  No mention of an American airing, thank the gods for the internet!

An American airing might be nice, for no other reason than that it would ensure the show is written on a more accessible level for Americans. Extras is obviously a lot easier for Americans to get into than The Office, I attribute this primarily to HBO's involvement.

But beyond that, I really don't care. I am just looking forward to it. It is just now filming, I think, so it will be a while.

Watched DS9 episode far beyond the stars. Eh, I didn't like it. Kind of a boring episode...

I take it you did not like Avery Brooks amazing level of overacting?

Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

Eh.  I thought he gave a very solid performance in that episode.  I just think he has a very distinctive style in his acting that you either have to love or have to hate.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Indeed. The same could be said for Shatner. I love the performances shatner gives but I know quite a few people who hate him and stuff

No one hates Shatner.  Just like no one hates the Benny Hill theme.

Greenpenguino hates the Benny hill theme. It makes nothing funny, including Benny Hill

It's not about the acting. That's okay in that episode. I actually enjoyed the episode itself when it first aired. It's just that I've seen the themes in the episode tackled better since then. That episode in particular it just simply hasn't aged well in my oppinion. Also having only seen it once before nostalgia wasn't going to blind me.

Anyone been watching Stargate Universe lately?

Back at the start I thought it was rubbish but it's been getting pretty good in this last part of season 2. It's a shame it only got interesting NOW, now after it's been given the axe.

It seems that Syfy [aka the sci-fi channel] is doing it's damndest to kill off any sc-fi broadcasting. I guess it's the MTV of our [not you Frink] generation ;)

The finale of RuPaul's Drag Race season 3!!!  It went pretty much exactly how I figured.  I knew Raja would win.  She was throwing some shade early in the season, but she turned out to be a pretty nice one, certainly much nicer than Raven from season 2.  Guh!!!

OK, she as in female, or she as in drag? I'm guessing the latter, but...

A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em

She as in drag.  They're consistently referred to (and refer to each other) by female pronouns when they're in character (and sometimes out of character... you just get used to it).  If that's a bit difficult to get through, it's just like how we refer to Yoda as "he" even though it's just a puppet, or how we refer to young boys in cartoons as "he" even though they're voiced by females because their characters are male.

What channel is that show on?  I've never even heard of it.

It's on LOGO, a somewhat obscure LGBT station that's only existed for a few years and, at least here, is only available through satellite, because this is Mississippi, and we destroy all that is different.  But a friend of mine has it and watches the show religiously.  I resisted watching it at first.  I'd avoided reality shows like the plague up until this moment.  But after several weeks of catching snippets of it when I'd go visit, eventually I started getting into it.  The clincher for me was the "Jocks in Frocks" episode where their challenge was to make over straight jocks into their drag sisters.  It was one of the most hilarious things I'd ever seen.  And that's where it spiraled out of control...

But... um... you do know who RuPaul is at least, right?

Of course I know who RuPaul is.  I'm certainly old enough ;-)

And I remember having LOGO for a while, back when I had Comcast.

I finally finished Lights Out, which was cancelled at the end of the season.  I'm actually totally ok with that though - the show had a solid beginning middle and end as it is, no need to continue.

Overall, it wasn't the greatest show ever, but it was very entertaining and had some really original ideas.  The last episode was awesome though, especially the final scene.  Plus, it's about boxing, which is awesome.  I'll get it when it comes out on DVD.

Anyone else watch it?

I gotta admit i've been getting bored with Chuck lately...but I just saw the latest ep and it was a lot of fun - it felt more like an early episode, which is a good thing!

Flashbacks, Gary Cole...what more could you want?

oh and I half expected Chuck to bust out some Prodigy at the wedding...

you defile my context.

Honestly - I like Timothy Dalton as much as the next guy [or gal] but those plot lines were going nowhere. They really need to break away from those "insert evil corporate entity" story arcs and get back to being fun!

Just watched the latest Stargate Universe. This show really is getting better in leaps and bounds. The fact that there are only two more episodes really sucks. IF ONLY the show had been at this point a season ago!...

You assume SyFy actually watches the shows and not just the advertising dollars.
