Imrahil these are excellent are you going to be sharing these as this is something i would definately use as replacements for the rubbish ones that came with the 2006 edition dvd's.

I stumbled across an image of the original concept image for the 2004 release on a site the other day they were just such nice designs wish they had bben the finished product instead

I built these for myself to use with Harmy's Despecialized Editions when they're complete, using some previous art from EyeShotFirst, ChainsawAsh and Harmy (thanks guys!). Even though the cover is pretty much one image stretched to fit, the idea was to have Luke on the spine without text; it looks great on the shelf.

Keep in mind that I only had Paint, IrfanView and Nero Cover Designer to work with, so these are only low-res screenshots cropped from Nero. (The white lines along the spine don't print). I use LightScribe, so that's why the disc art is cropped in so close to the centre. The different colour schemes for each movie also don't show up in monochrome.

Comments/suggestions welcome! I know I have wasted space on the left side of the cover but wasn't sure what to do with it...

There should be a rule that disc art should be complete all the way to the center for the benefit of those of us who use full face labels.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

I was just using the tools I had at my disposal to create something for personal use, and decided to share the results. If you'd like the art to go all the way to the centre of the disc, I can upload the Nero files and you're more than welcome to modify it to your heart's content.

Something new...

full versions to come.

Galatians 2: 20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I've been waiting for some covers to use for Harmy's fully despecialized collection, and those are great!  Will they work for standard cases as well, or just the blu?

I have them set up only for Blu-ray cases.  Sorry.

I left plenty of room for mods for adding text, versions, edit info... I am looking to use these for Harmy's PDE set.

I may do some more tweaking... At first glance the look like the same ol posters, in fact you may be surprised how much I modified a lot of it.

Coov i love those covers, they will be my covers of choice when Harmy has completed his despecialized trilogy.

Those are really nice Coov :-)

I will of course be making my own covers but I might recycle some design features of the PDE covers (basically the whole back I guess).

EDIT: As stated bellow, I decided against this later ;-)

Did a few mods to your Star Wars cover Harmy

Pretty nice, although in the end I decided to redo the backs too for the despecialized editions (and if anything, it shouldn't say Adywan colour corrected anymore). Also, is that intentional, that it's not just black around the white edge of the poster on the ESB cover?

But with a few tweaks, these could be a really nice alternate version.

I seem to have shot all my gunpowder on the covers I made for DJ and whenever I try making covers for DeEd, I always give up because I'd like to come up with something original and I couldn't get any of the concepts to work to my satisfaction.

Could somebody give the measurements for BD box size covers in pixels, with thin spine and with fat spine, thanks!

Has anyone got the credits for the bottom of the cover written out as text? And if so, could you please post them? Thanks :-)

Sorry Harmy...didn't notice that.

Where are the new backs you have?

Oh, no, like I said, I'm still working on those. But I really don't mind anyone making alternate covers. It's up to everybody to choose the covers they like most :-)

Those are some nice covers for the partial and despecialized editions. Since they are basically being put back to pre SE I think the Original poster art is the best thing much better than Struzans 97 SE posters. Would love to see a cover artist use the "Style A" Jung poster for Star Wars and the style A for both ESB and ROTJ.

Author
Time

That's why I modified Harmy's covers away from the 97 SE style, like Harmy I'd like to remove any SE ingredient from the mix.

Author
Time

Well, that's exactly why the backs need to be changed as well, as they are modelled on the 97SE vhs covers.

You may also notice that those pics on the fronts of my PDE covers are not the SE posters, they are Partly Despecialized ;-)

Let me ask again:

Has anyone got the credits for the bottom of the cover written out as text? And if so, could you please post them? Thanks :-)

And let me ask again, LOL:

Could somebody give the measurements for BD box size covers in pixels, with thin spine and with fat spine, thanks!

I have the credits still as text on the covers but I think they all are done line by line, if that's the case then it'd be almost faster to write them than copy them line by line. But I'll have to check.

Oh, don't worry about that, I already used an OCR software to rewrite them for me. As to the size, I don't know if there's is any standard resolution, I usually just take one of the already made covers and  use it as my background for measurements.
