Well, I am not sure you can say it is a "German movie"... It was made by an American studio, featured a mostly American cast, began with a British director who was fired for going over budget and replaced by a famous German director who decided to move filming to Germany. So, while ultimately it was filmed in Germany and directed by a German, I am not sure that really makes it a German film.

Peter Jackson is from New Zealand and The Lord of the Rings films were filmed in New Zealand, but would we really call them New Zealand films?
