Three Mile Island? Really? Now there was a missed opportunity.

Delia Derbyshire's work really is amazing stuff.

Every note hand-crafted, by hand, with fingers.

DO WANT!!!!!!!!

How is it possible that something be so adorable, awesome and badass at the same time??????????

I had one once (funnily enough, he actually was named Chewbacca)...

I feel like I should add onto this that going for walks in the park with him was always a fun experience. You know all of those women you see jogging in the park in sports bra and short shorts? Yeah, the ones you try really hard to look at without looking like you are looking at them... Well yeah, pretty much each and every one of them that would jog by me would STOP jogging and start inquiring about the dog and make small talk for a bit.

Soooooo, single and lonely ot.com members: Yorkshire Terriers, not a bad investment... and as a perk, they resemble really tiny four legged wookies!

I'd rather buy a wookie and have him get women for me by twisting their arms out of their sockets

Well, I sang Old Rugged Cross today in the Good Friday Service.    I really messed up at the start.    I had all the lines memorized, but I was so nervous that the words of the first verse just left me completely.   But fortunately I had the words in front of me and I recovered.    Then the choir director who was playing the organ for the song made a mistake in the 2nd verse.    She had previously decided to skip the chorus on the 2nd verse and go right into the 3rd verse.  She forgot and started to play the music for the chorus instead of going right to the 3rd verse.   Again we recovered (I guess).   Most people I talked  to told me not to worry about messing up at the start and that I did a great job(I should say here that two of the people who said I did great were my parents and they would say that no matter what).    The word "Awesome" was used by two different people.    So all in all, I guess it went ok.

Mistakes like that are always FAR more noticeable to you as the guy in front of the crowd of people than it is to the actual crowd of people. And even the choir director who is up there in front of everyone all the time made a mistake, everybody does, not a bit deal at all. Sounds like you did a fantastic job.

Now go out and buy a Yorkshire Terrier and take it for walks in the park!

Good to hear, sir Warb.  I've signed up for some stand-up next week at a friend's party.  It's been a few years, so I am remembering the nervousness of performing.

You say "Rugged Old Cross" I say "Old Rugged Cross" let's call the all thing "Hot Buns",

One person's "messed up" is another person's 'variation', I'm glad the over all effect was awe inspiring.

I'm at the hospital right now. My wife just gave birth to our second son a few hours ago. So far, he seems healthy and happy (at least as happy as can be expected under the circumstances). W00t!

Well done to the Akwats, that two down five more to go (only The Seven Akwats can save the Earth).

Or did you mean the Kbranas?

Possibly but The Seven Akwats sounds better than The Seven Kbranas (though I concede that The Kbrana Seven sounds pretty cool too).

Akwats are silly creatures in that their sirnames come first and given names second.

Yeah, I found that comment a little bizarre myself. :p Personally, I prefer women with their arms unbroken and attached.

I love parody. A Batman show that looked like this would be cool; not necessarily the anime part, but the style with short ears and muted color pallet.

Haha, that was awesome.  Was that from The Brave and the Bold?  Plus, that whole "parachuted away to safety" thing...?  DBZ reference?

That said, I think I almost prefer this one:

Batman, Robin, Scooby-Doo, AND Weird Al?  That has to be the winningest thing ever!

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

It was. And I think it was a reference to dubbing practices to begin with, not specifically DBZ. That episode (starring Bat-Mite) also featured an abridged remake of the crossover with Scooby-Doo that made fun of Hanna-Barbera's lack of violence.
