Finally watched Toy Story 3. Unlike a lot of people, I didn't cry, but I really thoroughly enjoyed it. It was as good as everybody else said it was, though my sister said it sucked, I just told her she didn't have an opinion, because Cloverfield is her favorite movie.

I didn't cry either and I had to have people explain to me why I was supposed to.  (http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Last-movie-seen/post/471168/#TopicPost471168)

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one.

And tell your sister that Cloverfield sucks.

"The Music Man."

One of my all time favs. Made my wife watch it. She dug it to, so we can stay married.

I'm related to Robert Preston (Meservey) through two marriages.  Mine and my... wait a minute.  Didn't we already do this once?

Am I stuck in some king of Groundhog Day loop?

I think the Toy Story trilogy could make a run at best trilogy of all time

Yeah, you say that.

Just wait for the prequel trilogy, detailing how all the toys came together.

With excessive real life effects, terrible Voice-over work and annoying characters

Is there something that makes it a "trilogy" other than it has 3 movies in it?

I rather liked Cloverfield.

It's not my favorite movie in the world and the big daylight monster reveal buggered up everything leading up to it but it has some fine moments.

The shaky-cam work will date it in feature decades, should we survive the massive increase in solar flare activity.

It's a film that needs to be watched on a small screen rather than a big screen. I hated it when I saw it in the cinema, and it nearly made the girl I was seeing it with sick. But I've changed my mind about it seeing it on a TV, it seemed to work better in that format.

or skynet. ;)

I saw it on a very big screen and there were warnings given.

I approve of making girls sick.

Dr. Strangelove.

My mom had never seen this, so I decided to show it to her.

She laughed all the way through, and stated that it was a lot better than she thought it would be, although Clockwork Orange is still her favorite Kubrick Film.

Ma's Rating:

8/10

My Rating:

9/10 (I give most of Kubrick's work a very high rating)

I agree with your mum, Clockwork Orange is my fave Kubrick film too, but Strangelove comes at a close second.

For me, 2001 takes the cake, followed by Clockwork Orange than Full Metal Jacket.
