Party Down.
This show is pretty hilarious. Definitely recommended. (Admittedly, it's probably funnier if you've worked in catering.)

Game of Thrones.
Not usually being one for fantasy, I haven't read any of the novels. But damn, the pilot was pretty fucking good. I'm definitely intrigued enough to stick with the show.
I'm planning on checking that out - i know nothing about it but word of mouth is good.
last thing i saw was an episode of the BBC Wonders of the solar system series.

If you go to my video review thread you'll see that I just did a video detailing what I consider to be the 10 worst moments from DS9. Since you're a big DS9 fan, I'd really be interested to hear your take on it.

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
The first episode of Game of Thrones was quite good. Looking forward to the rest of the season and (hopefully) series.
Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.
Watched the newest Chuck episode!!!!! Need more Chuck please! I also did the rewardtv survey to add my view to the ratings.
Also, prior to that watched some DS9.

Season 2 of Superjail finally started on Adult Swim, what an amazing show. It's nuts, but something about it is beautifully nuts. It's like watching a painting in motion... a painting by a crazy person.
Watch the newest episode! (NSFW)
Not a fan.
Too much deplorable violence.
So there is an ok amount of deplorable violence but that show crosses the line?
;-)
Yep!
If any show crosses the line with deplorable violence, it's that one.
episode 2 of Mortal Kombat: Legacy. loving it.
Really sad to hear that Elisabeth Sladen just died. She was a brilliant actress and an inspiration as Sarah Jane Smith, both on Doctor Who and on her own show, and she'll be dearly missed.
Agreed. So sad.
On a related, but more upbeat note, I got a chance to see the first two episodes of Series 6 at the Chicago "premiere" screening last night!
I don't want to spoil anything for anybody, but damn I don't envy you guys having to wait a week between those two episodes.
Here's what I will say about the opening two-parter (no spoilers, unless you count vague hints as spoilers):
Doctor Who Series 6 Premiere Spoiler-Free Mini-Review
(6.01 The Impossible Astronaut & 6.02 Day of the Moon)
Moffat has stated recently that Series 5 was all about reassuring the audience that, despite the fact that there's a brand-new Doctor, companion, and showrunner, it was still fundamentally the same show. Hence, the structure was very similar to Series 1-4, and there wasn't a whole lot of "rock-the-boat" type developments.
Series 6, on the other hand, if the premiere is anything to go by, is Moffat basically saying, "Oh, you thought you were safe in your 13-episode, standalone-adventures-with-a-loose-story-arc comfort zone, right? Well ... not anymore, bitches!" All bets are off now. Series 6 is all about Moffat making his mark as showrunner, and it's certainly distinctly different from Davies'.
It begins in a way unlike any other season of the series, and by the time the first 15 minutes have gone by you'll have lost all preconceived notions of what to expect from this season. More than that, by the end of Day of the Moon (part 2, which will air on the 30th), you're left with at least two potentially-season-spanning arcs that are so mind-bogglingly huge in their implications, they make River Song look about as important as that asshole who got kicked out of the TARDIS in Series 1.
The monsters in the episode are absolutely the best since the Weeping Angels. Technically, they could exist in the real world. There could be one standing behind you right now, and you'd never know...
And that's all I'll say. I've already typed and deleted several paragraphs because I thought they had too many potential spoilers within, so I hope I've kept this mini-review-thing as spoiler-free as possible.
If anyone has any questions or wants more spoileriffic information about the premiere, PM me and I'll gladly oblige. I won't post any definite spoilers in the open forum, though.
Mythbusters, didnt that show go downhill very quick?. Some of the myths now are so stupid, running on water?.
I enjoy the show, haven't seen this week's episode, but it does seem like more and more of the "myths" are things that they know are impossible, especially the movie myths. They're fun, but come on.

The taking candy from a baby and what happens when the shit hits the fan episode was just unberable.
I've been skipping myths when I find them dumb. Crap hitting the fan was a definite skip. That's not even a myth, or something I was ever curious about.Murry Sparkles said:

Hahaha! Wow, that is funny. I am now going to change that phrase to "shooting a fish in a barrel" from now on, and use it to refer to something extremely difficult.
Hadn't realized that show had gotten so ridiculous.
With the excitement of Stephen Merchant in Portal 2, I've begun watching the Ricky Gervais show.
Thursday night on NBC. Community, The Office, Parks & Recreation, and 30 Rock. Those are four of the funniest shows on TV and last year they were all together. This season they had to add two terrible shows in between them all, money-hungry trolls.
Plus, Archer is on tonight too! (and It's Always Sunny, when it's airing)
In California we have the greatest man ever. His name is Huell Howser, and he hosts a show called "California's Gold."
With one cameraman, a mic, and no hosting skills in the slightest Huell goes to all sorts of places, from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Horseradish Parade in some podunk town of 200 people. And no matter where he goes, he's as excited as a kid on Christmas and while you watch his show on PBS, for those 30 min you really think that some run down light house, Armenian laundromat, or ice-cream shop is the most interesting place on Earth.
Today they showed an episode where he visited my crappy home town and toured the local Indian pueblo tourist trap. I'd been there a dozen times, but watching this man rant about it made me want to go again, and maybe live there.

I love the fact that I have only ever heard of one of those shows!
Community and Parks & Rec are only a couple season deep, but never heard of 30 Rock!?!?!?! It won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series three years in a row!!
^Maybe he meant The Office.
I doubt it. ;)
