I love it. Qui-Gon just takes the parts, which is funny, then cuts back to Anakin still racing... Maybe have his pod start having problems like it does during the race? I just like hearing him say "oh no!"

I like everything about that last podrace clip, except I'd still have Ani fiddling with the ignition switch, sitting at the starting line.

FYI, a FE.org member offered to do some night-for-day color correction to make it look like he's still on the course at night. I'm going to edit the scene to flow better and then send him the file to work on.

The song and video actually match up surprisingly well even without the clip being edited.
I have to say, seeing Anakin dealing with all these problems with no other racers around (hitting pylons, launching into the air, having his ship fall apart) is hilarious. It makes him look like the most inept pilot of the saga :)

I was thinking that too. I do at least want to go back and cut out a couple quick things that flash by too quickly to see but are distracting.

"Cunning warrior" could be him shooting his own guy and saying "oops". "Good friend" could be "the boy is dangerous, they all sense it"TV's Frink said:

Are you gonna put some dialogue/soundfx on top of the sequence, or just leave it as is?
It'd be cool if the action was synched up with the music a little better. For example, have him thrust forward just as the chorus kicks in, things like that. Of course, I don't know how difficult or time consuming it would be.

I was going to just leave as is, music only. Montages often don't have dialogue/soundfx.
I agree that it would be nice if it synched a little better, and a few people have mentioned it on FE.org also. But it's something low on my list because it would be a lot of work and I have a lot of work ahead of me.

When the lyrics mention "thinking of someone" we could have a series of telescoped zoom transitions (timed to the beat of the track) of Padme looking for him.
Adding some Pod noices , Tusken sounds etc but selectively (and also timed to the music) could enhance the gag.
