Ugh ... Twitter ... no, I can't say that I'm a fan of the whole social-networking thing.  I won't get a Twitter unless, for some reason, I'm required to for a job or school or something.

Speaking of school, I need to start spending less time here and more time finishing the 2 papers, editing project, and animation project I have to do by the end of the week (I haven't started this animation project and it's due on Thursday morning!) - but the good news is my semester is over on the 16th.  Christ, it seems so far away ...

Yeah, I have to admit Twitter is pretty pointless and I resisted it for a while... but as with most of those sort of things, once you pop you can't stop.

War does not make one great.

I wonder if you're older or younger than me... Then I would be the youngest on the fourm :-)

Phew! Glad that was clarified. These ice breaker things always make me really nervous, always appreciate the "pass" option.

It's refreshing that you two make great posts.  And there are people here supposedly in their 20's who post like fourth graders.

My online handle is DuracellEnergizer (obviously), but my real name - which I shall not reveal - is alliterive. I'm a 23-year-old schmuck - a fact I sometimes come close to forgetting due to apathy. I never finished high school, thus I never graduated thus I have no diploma of any kind. I've only had one job so far, as a dishwasher, until I was laid off - a job that lasted barely six months - and have been unemployed for over two years now; my ability to obtain a new one is strangled by my lack of work experience and my social anxiety disorder. I live with my parents and sister - none of whom I can stand - with three dogs and an odd number of cats (five dogs until recently; one died from old age/illness, and the second was a puppy who had to be sold). I don't see my life improving at all, and - once my aged parents die - I expect to be become homeless. I occupy my days surfing the internet in an attempt to rid my mind of all these troubles, but the effort is useless.

Oh, and I have sciatica. @#$%ing icing on the cake.

Thank you Frink. Yeah, I have an inkling of who you talking about. (cough*Haljordan*cough)

I'm glad that there is another person my age on here AF. Just out of curiosity, how old are you?

It's pretty tough having good taste in movies unlike your peers, isn't it? I know some guys who's favorite movie is the one they last watched. They haven't even watched anything from before 2000!

One last question:

Are you on FB?

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I am actually 14 years old. I was born in February 1997. It's nice to see that there are others, like you, around my age. Out of curiosity, how old are you? Younger or older?

Tell me about it. My friends really don't have any idea about the movies I normally watch. For instance, one of my friends didn't know Tron Legacy was a sequel. Another one of my friends watched Blade Runner and tried to pretend she actually got some of it. However, I do find it fun enlightening them with cinema from the past. Do you? For instance, I showed Evil Dead and The Shining at a party and it was a great time. However, my peers seem to not take well to slow-pacing, 2001, or black and white.

One last question:

Are you on FB?

No; I actually haven't gotten into the whole Facebook stuff yet.

EDIT: Oh and thank you Frink.

As you get older, this will not change nearly as much as you hope it will...

I don't know? Do you want to be unignored? You should realize you have the privilege of being the first and only person I have ever ignored in all my years here. That is quite an honorary position! Do you still live in Toledo? I only live a few hours away from there myself.

I now feel like smoking and reading some Vonnegut...

EDIT: Oh and thank you Frink.

I'm younger by just a tad, being born in November of the same year. So that makes me younger.

NONE of my friends knew that Tron Legacy was a sequel. The other day my buddys started talking about The Hangover II and said that it was still being made. I tried correcting them, but this is the answer I recieved:

Them:

"If it's been completed then how come it's not in theaters yet?"

ME:

"Most likely because it's in post-production..."

Them:

" u r a dumass. If a mooveee has been finished then that meens its in theaters. ur stoopid."

Believe me, I've tried introducing them to classic films, like Raiders and Blade Runner but their stupid little retard brains couldn't handle what they were watching.

I was however able to make them watch Full Metal Jacket, Alien, and A Clockwork Orange, which they all liked, and that's a miracle of it's own.

I like my friends, but we just don't see eye-to-eye on some things, like movies and music.

I have a Youtube channel, which I posted a link to in my sig, and you can subscribe if you are a member there.

Here's the only picture of me I could find on the 'net, and my friend used photoshop on it. I had a pillow placed under my hoodie, which all my friends thought was hilarious, (don't know why) so they decided to take a picture.

Nice talking to you AF! So glad someone else understands what it's like.
