Not that I don't believe you, but what polls are you talking about? My "polls" of my friends, family, neighbours, co-workers, internet commentators, etc. that watched the show (at a variety of depths) was overwhelmingly negative... maybe 80%.

Ilovelostincludingtheendingofseason6.com running a poll that was overwhelmingly positive wouldn't surprise me. Neither would I weight it very much.
