Just a heads up....I answered my own question through some trial and error.  I noticed that the framerate for the VHS TPM was 29.9703 (I think that is what it said) as compared to the 29.970 for the LD rip.  I only needed 1 frame so I made the correction in Virtualdub, saved the 1 frame, edited it into the beginning of Side B of the LD and what do you know.....my issue was easier to understand.

Thanks for letting me record my progress through this forum.  There is a lot more to know than some of the tutorials reveal.  Trial and error are paramount when trying to understand your hardware, software, media, and how it all fits together to help you reach your expected goal with the outcome desired.
