I don't know, he did have some "force" skill to call Leia, though expanded universe books usually like to credit that to them having some brother/sister bond versus just using the force.
Author
Time
maybe he used the force subconsciously...

we know he has some force since at the beginning of ESB in the "snowman" cave he was able to get his sabre with it. now, it is not clear if he used it to cushion his fall, but i think he definitely used it to call Leia. i think he thought of her because instinctively he knew that she has some force too and that she would be able to "hear" him.

or that she would just hear him... he couldve called chewie, but i doubt chewie would have been appropriate, if you know what i mean.

Yes. Not to mention if Luke could guess it before Obi said it, he knew somehow or forsaw at least that she would be flying the Falcon.
Author
Time
exactly... but he "just knew" that she would be the one able to rescure him.

Too bad in a way Luke didn't listen to Yoda, then he wouldn't have had to been rescued in the first place. Then again Darth Vader might not have been distracted and Lando could not pull off his stunt.

it was all woven in the intricate web of fate...

I don't believe in fate,

I believe in Frodo lives by logical choice in the force.

I guess my LOTR/SW/ST/Matrix wasn't that obvious, my bad. At least I found it amusing.

Author
Time
it was obvious there was a mix, but maybe it just wasnt that funny... lol... sorry...

Anyway, Count Dooku is fine as mysterious, I didn't need or want to see him in Episode 1 because I wanted to be even more unsure about by not seeing him at that point. Not to mention it makes the Jedi Council look even more weak if not only do they completely miss Palptine, but in the Epi. 1 era they couldn't even catch Dooku's falling to the darkside when he is on the Jedi Council? I don't think so.

yoda and windu even say that their powers are waning.

They say the their ability to use the force has diminished, not disappeared! I'm sorry, but that is stretching common sense if they couldn't catch Dooku if he had been around them all the time on the Jedi Council once he has joined the darkside.
Author
Time
not saying that they are disappearing, but that - as you said it - their ability to use the force has diminished...

Still, like I said, that really makes them too weak. I can swallow they missed because Dooku actually left them, he was not in close proximity it seems when he turned, but all the time, stupid idea when I think about it personally from this particular angle. Otherwise, it is a decent idea.
Author
Time
But Dooku wasn't turned to the darkside until after he left the order.

How do you know that? I am not trying to attack you, but from the all I saw in Episode 2 and the EU stuff I could get my hands, we don't know exactly when he turned or if he erased the files on Kamino. I am just wondering if maybe a spy report said this or something?

Time
i think it will be cleared up in ep3.
