Don't worry Silver, I just posted it a few hours ago so you arrive at the right time ;-)

Guys don't get offended, SilverWook's email was the only other one I had so it was quicker to email him than asking someone else's address.

Why not just make it easy and upload it to sendspace or megaupload or something and be done with it? This problem seems to be on your end anyway as Silver didn't recieve any mail either.

It's ok. I'm not in such a position that I could delete others posts even if I wanted ;) that can only be done by those who run this site.

I haven't uploaded it anywhere because there were also some lengthy explanations in the text of the email. Anyway I tried sending it from another email of mine (check your inbox msycamore). It's very weird that the outgoing mail would be blocked somehow... could it be the srt file attached?

If it doesn't work I'll upload it somewhere and put the explanations in the srt file. Thanks for your patience

Probably old news but saw this in the AquariusRecords.Org weekly mailing list. Film Score Monthly has done a repressing of the THX 1138 soundtrack.

Finally here! We have been waitin' for this reissue to arrive for eons (well, at least Cup has!), and it's so well worth the wait. This is the original soundtrack to George Lucas' 1971 feature length debut THX-1138, a chilling, near-future dystopic cult fave shot right here in SF. Although Lucas decided to handle this film's restoration for the dvd release in much the same unfortunate way that he did for Star Wars - namely, by adding numerous quite significant (often intrusive and questionably necessary) CGI 'enhancements' and revisions - Lalo Schifrin's soundtrack has aged quite gracefully, and this release even includes some numbers he composed for the film that did not make the final cut. We love Schifrin's work, and this is no exception. It is considerably different from his many other sountracks (Bullitt, Dirty Harry, Enter The Dragon), but then again this film is considerably different. Imaginative, haunting and incredibly effective, his score perfectly complements Walter Murch's innovative ahead-of-the-curve sound design (it would be great to have a cd of that!), and together they play a vital role in each scene and in the film's overall impact. Starkly contrasted with the film's predominantly icily sterile visuals, it's an ever-shifting aural kaleidoscope of grand symphonic strings, menacing drones, blats of brass, imposing choral assemblies, bursts of Latin jazz, early synthesizers and electronic explorations, solitary woodwinds, percussive African rhythms, and avant garde sound collage... topped with a deliriously giddy "Be Happy" sing-song jingle cherry on top. Richly atmospheric, melodious and dissonant, and deceptively unsettling. Highly recommended... and not just for film score buffs! Limited pressing of 3000, but it has been out for a while, so get it while you can!

The first clear shot I've seen of the bloodied prisoner's face whose hands the robots were taping up. And it was THX all along? Since he looked fine before and after his trial, it makes the robots even more sinister if they beat the crap out of you, and then have you healed and cleaned up for your public appearance.

And what is that thing behind the kids? Yet another type of robot?

Not bad price either!

The thing behind the kids looks like a statue. Something out of Metropolis. Maybe it looked cheap and nasty in the film so Lucas cut it out. Very interesting set of pictures!

Mmh maybe you're right. It seems out of place even as a robot though. I mean, we just saw the robot cops. Could that be perhaps the teacher of the kids... the source of the voice that educate the infants?

I'm working on the subs at the moment and I changed this line of SEN trying to convince THX to not continue with their escape plan from the prison:

521:

LUH has been destroyed so we can even go back now.

to a more natural:

LUH has been destroyed so we might as well go back now.

If you guys don't have any objection of course.

This dialogue by SEN talking to THX starting from line 413 I pointed out to you erri_wan, still sounds strange to me, can you doublecheck it for me please.

Your translation:

Listen. Let's get something straight right from the start.

It will help to understand my overall plan...

and will help you to stay out of things you don't understand, right?

I don't know, maybe it's another case of a too literal translation? Even if you make it read more smoothly...

...something is lost in the translation if you compare it with the original english dialogue of this scene:

No objections at all. I approve the changes. The "we might aswell go back now" is much better sounding, thank you. Sometimes it's hard to make a smooth translation after working on it for hours.

Nice to see this thread is still alive!

Im kinda not into that other cover i was working on, it seems dull and lifeless (in the wrong way), and i had this idea today. The text and all that, like the credits, 'original version', '...by the masses' ect. is all changeable, but i like the 'thx' font and how the images are arranged.

Thoughts?
