I'm not really certain you can be considered a fan of something if you can't spell the name of that something. =P
Anyway. Traviss can go parachute-less basejumping for all I care. She made Boba Fett cry, and Boba Fett does not cry. I'm all for the Mandalorians being a people with a culture and everything, the old comics with Fenn and Tobbi were sweet, and I'm fine with the whole Death Watch thing from Open Seasons, I loved KOTOR and the Mandalorian stuff from Tales of the Jedi, and I was even on board with Traviss for awhile, until she started with the inventing the language and writing all the fan-ficcy Mandalorian bullshit. I'll take a lot of abuse as a Star Wars fan, but you make the Fettman cry, and you've earned an enemy for life. One of the happiest days of my life was when she had her hissy fit and quit ruining my Mandalorians.
The Clone Wars depiction of the Mandalorians is fine by me, too, so far. I'm guessing that as far as the Hidalgo/Chee continuity goes, the wasteland is just a section of the jungle planet that is Mandalore. And it makes sense that after suffering so many losses that someone charismatic enough could come in and talk the people into giving peace a chance.
As long as Saltine (I can't not think that) dies a horrible and ignominious death at the hands of the Death Watch and Mandalore returns to its warrior ways (though I'd rather see a resurgence of Jaster's True Mandalorians than the Death Watch taking charge), I'll be pleased as punch.
