What planet does Nien Numb come from?.....(And before you lot moan about EU, it is mentioned in one of the films)

Where is this bit of information mentioned??
Author

its not mentioned per se in the films, but it is from the films, just like the name of Bossk himself is never mentioned, but it is from the films.

Sorry, I was late and you're correct. Fire away with your question.

Joker, I just know the names of the characters from the cards the figures came on way back when. As for knowing that he was from Sullust, I got that from the Databanks on StarWars.com.

My question... What is the name of the spider-like droid wandering the halls of Jabba's Palace in ROTJ?

Allow me to say that I think it's a little unfair to ask questions that it is impossible to know the answer just by watching the movies. You either have to read some obscure card, or researched it on some webpage where most of the stuff was simply made up years (sometimes decades) after the movie was released...

However, I believe the answer you are looking for is "B'omarr Monk"

I get your point, but if we did that the questions would offer little challenge to anyone here I think. Even as they are most of the q's are answered pretty quick...

you have to do a little bit of research.

I thought our only rule was to keep it to the movies. Maybe it takes a bit of research regarding the movies, but at least it's not EU. That was the only guideline I thought we had... no EU.

Sorry if you didn't like it. But everything else is pretty pathetically easy, don't you think? As for the research, bookmark the Databanks on SW.com. The "research" should take all of 30 seconds and you should be able to use that page to answer almost any question.

And yes, it's the B'omarr Monk. Your question Joker.

... Technically Sullust, Malastare, Andioch, Viego, and Kessel are never seen in the movies.

Ya, I tried posting a response earlier, but the forums were down.

I thought about it, and you're right. Anything that DOESN'T require research is too damn easy, for a lot of us, it takes research just to think of a good question that MIGHT take more than a day to get answered. So, I guess as long as it's contained in the movies, even if it's never actually mentioned in the movies (such as the names of the bounty hunters seen in ESB, etc...which is not my question by the way).

As for MY question...Hmmm...

I'll try to make it challenging...

What are the names of the 2 Alliance characters (pilot and gunner) who flew the snowspeeder that first successfully used the towcable and harpoon to down an AT-AT at the battle of Hoth and what was the call number of their speeder?
Author
Time
You still haven't finished answering the question...

What was their call number?

(And just to make it a bit tougher, what was Janson's first name?)
Author
Time
Damn, I can't remember the call number. NOOOOOO!!! I'm getting old!!!

I wanted to say that Janson's first name was Dak but then I remembered that Dak was Luke's gunner. But doesn't Dak Janson sound pretty cool all the same? Did they really mention Janson's first name?

You're right. It was Wes Janson and Wedge Antillies that collectively made up Rouge 3 in the battle of Hoth.
