Any news when the V3 DVDs are coming out?

I second that. Although I have hardly any free these days, I try to follow these threads as closely as possible. This looks to be an amazing project an I am very excited to see these.

OK, small update for any interested, Video for SW and ESB is rendered and encoded @ 16.5 avg, and ALL audio is done for all 3 films, I have decided to add the Imperial Edition audio to ESB, the reason being, I am able to keep it LPCM, this is the way ABC wanted it to be presented, so without any restrictions for Blu, it is a bonus audio track, which if you have not heard it, it sounds really great, by far 1 of the best scores I have ever heard.

Soon I will be testing Jedi and getting that baby ready, so maybe if all falls into place, all video will be done by the end of the weekend, the SW Blu Menu is reaching its final stages as well, I am really excited about the Top Menu's and Pop up Menu's for this set, damn I hope they work out, they are really, really cool! for those here that are actually interested in a Blu-ray set, you will be impressed with the audio line up and the menu's are just friggin sweet!

Also ChainsawAsh mentioned to me in a PM or email a while back on the V3 ESB, he liked it but said it could have used a little more saturation is color, well I took his advice and I did bump it up a little bit, so the coloring on this set will be a little different than the V3.

Well that's all Folks

What are you looking at? Okey, Dokey.

Thanks for the update dark_jedi... really looking forward to seeing both these edits (particularly the blu).  You've definitely whet my appetite.

IIRC d_j does newsgroups.

If we're lucky, and preferably with d_j's permission, someone will re-up to MU or RS.

With all the arguing going on with a certain member, I almost forgot I have a very small update, the rendering of Jedi has started, by Monday ALL video will be rendered and encoded along with the audio, so hopefully once I figure out these Blu Menu's(which are friggin hard as hell) I should have all 3 done soon, maybe I will figure out a way to upload Star Wars V3 & Blu-ray first, then do both ESB versions and so on,not really sure yet.

I can't wait to see the quality of ESB and JEDI.  Especially the Asteroid sequence in Empire.

That reminds me, I would love to know what the special effects sequences look like in these Blu Ray versions.  Other than the beginning of Star Wars, I don't think we've seen much else.

I know you're swamped with renders right now.  Just a screen cap or two would be awesome.

The Asteroid sequence in Empire looked friggin Great on my set up, I was actually surprised by this, I thought for sure it would not look to hot, I am glad I was wrong, but this is my opinion only.

Jumping back into the discussion to say I can't wait to see the outcome of the BluGOUT.  Guess it's time to invest in a Blu-Ray burner     :-)

I find it ironic that the "Laserdisc is Dead" thread originally got so much flac and yet DJ and others' works have been highly praised here. Of course, the praise is given where it's due - everybody who has contributed to this has given us what might be our holy grail till George caves in. It's just something I noticed, haha. I'm eagerly awaiting when the V3 is available to download!

Actually, my comment was out of line. The LiD concept was based on work more along the lines of yours Harmy, only started by a previously-popular-turned-scummy-seller-of-projects member. It can be found here. It was even made back before we found out just how bad the GOUT was, hence my comment.

I was just turned on to this project when in was metioned in another thread, and man am I excited. I have a hard time sorting out all of the presevation efforts, but from what I read in tis thread, this seems to be the most highly respected and promising treatment of the GOUT. I am glad to have something Star Wars related to be excited about again. I'm telling everyone at the gay bar about this tonight, dark_jedi rules.

Blue Milk and Wookie cookies. Sometimes offering a bantha or Jawa helps too.

Can we still offer blue milk and cookies?
