I just wanted to let everyone know that I am most profoundly impressed by the quality of the effort here!My silences have been due to awe. Watching rough notions tossed out and then everyone here going to work to develope them into great possibilities and then some into great edits has been fascinating beyond words. I hope that what I have brought up might be helpful in some small way.
All I have left are for remakes. "Treatment", except in the medical/surgical sense, is probably too grandios for anything I did. I abandoned that whole effort long ago after reading an article about the tremendous difficulties production companies faced in dealing with any material coming in from outside sources. It seemed like it might just create great problems- the exact opposite of the intent. I continued to think about it, from time to time, for my own edification and/or amusement. Manipulating the characters and environments of the SW world in ways that could only rightfully be accomplished by LFL (remakes) seems like an intrusion upon intellectual property.
I'm grateful that LFL and The MPAA have permited these fan-edit efforts to continue. I can certainly see how it all contributes very much to the film and audio arts and technology.

I'd be fine with ROTJ by seeing that it takes more (and hope, a lot more) than two stupid fighters to destroy the Executor.
Sorry to be a pain but just a reminder that images bigger than the tram lines of the thread tend to shunt the forum out of whack.
If they are resized to fit inside the tram lines people can open the image in full in a separate window if they want a closer look.

i think it would be cool to revamp the battle of Endor and make it somewhat like the ROTS space battle. Prlly not as intense, but something that makes you jump out of your seat.
i always imagined, as in the novel it describes this, seeing a blockade runner run into the bridge of a star destroyer.

I've been thinking that as well. Thank God it won't take near the work it took in 1983.

Out of curiosity, what browser are you using? I've never seen it throw anything out of whack - It just hides half the image and I have to right-click to do things to see the whole thing.

On Safari and Opera for the first few viewings if the image is too large the whole thread is shunted to the far end of the image including the reply box.
After a few more attempts, the forum is displayed as you described but if I empty the cache (which I sometimes have to do when posting) it starts all over again.
Fascinating. I wonder what Firefox is doing so well.
Safari has never done that to me. Can't speak for Opera.

I always thought Luke looked weird in this holo image. Using doubleofive's image I flipped it and I think it looks better.
It just looks flipped to me.
*shrug*
The hologram is flipped in the movie. That's why it looks wrong. Flipping it like that makes the background wrong, which makes things look worse.
