well i have made several attempts to get some advice on ot.com and had no help with my problems. so before i give up fanediting all together i will try one more time.i have been working hard on my project for a few weeks and i keep hitting the brick wall. first i will say that the project is kill bill the whole bloody affair. i have several expectations i would like to meet. first off i want to author the final cut in dvd architect. second i want great video quality. third i want ac3 5.1 audio. and fourth i want the subs hardcoded into the video.i made my first attempt in womble. the edit turned out descent. but then i found out that dvd architect would not take the ac3 5.1 audio after rendering out of womble. i had encoded the video source for womble in order to have the subs hardcoded. everything worked pretty good up until i tryed to rendor my dvd. the video quality had gone way down to fit a dl disc and i lost the voices from the audio.so i have been researching and found that the audio must be rendered in vegas to work with dvd architect. so i figured why not go ahead and take the plunge and do the whole edit in vegas. well this is not working out either. first off the only way to get the subs in is to manually type each subtitle and sync them all visually. really? that is stupid that vegas does not support .sub or .srt second when i added my first source kill bill uncut. and played it in the preview window the audio is way out of sync. i dont know if it will be after rendering because this is my first time using vegas. so far i am not liking vegas at all. is there another alternative software for windows that i could use to accomplish my goal? cause vegas just is not user friendly at all. so many problems before i even attempted to make a video cut. i know there is an adobe video editing software but cant remember what it is called and does it support ac3 5.1 or .dts and can it use sub or srt files? real question is how would you more experienced editors do this thing? womble is not gonna cut it and vegas seems too buggy. please respond guys i really want to do this. and i already have two more fanedits planned if i can just get this one running.
