I remember posting a suggestion along the lines of your cave edit on the ESB Wishlist Thread (at least I think it was that thread as it sounds too radical a change for my to have suggested to Adywan*).

I went a bit further by suggesting recolouring the snake so it had Maul's red black colour scheme and the lizard had Sith eyes so it was more like Merlin's cave in Excalibur showing the past, present and future forms that the takes in the saga, crossed with a bit of the manifestations of Satan in The Last Temptation Of Christ too (animals speaking in with the voices of the dead).

Your version is much more Luke centred which is perhaps a more logical iteration of the idea.
