A physical BD disc would be a coaster for me at the moment, so I'm seriously hoping for an upload. If not, OmegaMattman's AVCHDs will have to do, Empire was pretty good and he said he'd have the others by the end of the month. But I'm seriously hoping I could get yours DJ.

How much would something like that pay?

What the hell DJ? You've specifically denied people permission to share V3? What the fuck? I thought this place was a community?

Wow. Serious buzzkill.
Many people (if not all), frequently visited this thread in the hopes of an online upload.
Isn't that what every editor here does at the end of the day?
Upload their stuff for fellow OT's?

Guys, the f*ck is up with you? The DVDs DJ sent out were just for testers (i.e. they weren't the finished product) so obviously he doesn't want those to get out. So unless there's something I don't know, you guys should calm down.

Maybe you NEED to get your damn facts straight before coming and making accusations, I NEVER said the V3 could not be shared, I only said it should not be shared until ALL have checked everything over, and we all found nothing wrong, so you sir, have been mis informed, but thank you very much for spouting off the way you did, very nice dude, very nice.

and for the record, I have only told 1 POS here that I did not want them specifically  sharing my stuff, and that is only because I can't stand Glory Hounds, but again, thank you for your kick ass post.

cheers dude

BTW. DJ, may I suggest you finish and upload the Blu project one movie at a time. It would shorten our wait (that would be nice ;-)  ) and solve (or at least minimize) your upload problem :-)

Thanks Harmy, it is shit like this that makes people not want to share, and 1 of the people spouting I thought was a friend, damn I guess I was wrong.

I let my enthusiasm get the best of me, I suppose.
It slipped my mind these edits haven't passed the test fase yet.
Come to think of it, only 1 person reviewed them here as of yet.

Makes perfect sense.
Out of respect for DJ's immense work, and to sort of assure myself I don't misinterprate stuff anymore, I'll just keep reading along from now on.
As opposed to ESB:R, there's nothing for me to contribute here anyway.

Truth be told, I have no idea what I am going to do with these, uploading might be out of the question(maybe) 23 GB's for 1 movie is a lot of uploading.

I'm sure that, once you've uploaded one/all, others will be more than happy to reupload them for you, and keep them alive.
Maybe AvP can help, over on tehparadox.

I just can't believe I am gone for a bit working my ASS off on these things and I come back to comments such as these, because this Blu-ray project is a lot of work, rendering and encoding times have quadrupled, and I have a very fast PC, an Intel Quad Core @ 3.0 ghz w\8 GB's RAM.

Any new updates?

Sorry, I almost missed this question with all the BS posted below it, yes there is an update for the Blu at least, the rendering of the avi and encoding is finished(for Star Wars) ALL audio is encoded and ready to go, we are in the menu stage now for SW, ESB I have started testing today, not sure if I will post samples though, I am hopeful that the settings for SW will work just fine on the other 2, between the DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio and the choice between DD and LPCM, the BD25 will be filled up, and the menu's are looking(and sounding) SWEET! these are real Blu-ray menu's, no static with audio, these look and sound professional, so far if all goes according to plan, this will be my last SW project, this will be my bowing out gracefully to anything SW, IMHO this set will be a GREAT companion piece to go with the retail Saga release this Fall, again this is ONLY my opinion, I know this will not be for everyone, I am sure just a select few.

and for the V3, they are done and final, I just need to find time and upload them, not sure if I am going to upload the VIDEO_TS folder and let everyone do there own layer-break, or if I should upload the image file with all that done for you, all you have to do is burn, I also moved the chapters manually to put them in line with the retail, and tweaked the menu's a bit as well.

So there you have it, my next update, who knows.

And what a final curtain call it will be, I'm sure.
Companion piece? If my fears become reality, it will most likely become a replacement!

I'm okay with an image file. I'm sure it will work out fine the way you created it.

How'd Dragon Age 2 go?

Kick ass, about to start it up now while running some ESB samples, just a little way into Act 2 and loving the shit out if it.

Thanks DJ, I know I'm new here, but your work and labor on these projects is very much appreciated. It's guys like you and all the other encoders here on the forums that are keeping Star Wars alive!

dark_jedi,

As someone who just discovered this forum, let me echo the sentiments of all those who appreciate the incredible efforts you and other like you have made to preserve the original trilogy as they were first seen.

I was 19 when I first saw Star Wars in 1977.  I went to a midnight showing.  I had to walk three miles because the headlights on my car blew out.  I can still remember how much I enjoyed the opening crawl and the way the Star Destroyer fly over blew me away.

To be honest, although I am an old school fan, I have enjoyed many of the changes that Lucas made.  But it's the original versions that really get me pumped.  To me they represent Lucas' original vision as it was, not the bleached and sanitized version he now wants everyone to believe it was.

I also believe an artist's (directors included) skill is manifested through the constraints placed on him/her.  In the original trilogy as filmed, we see the Lucas team at it's best.  The attack on the Death Star only gets better when you know they got the effect by sliding cameras on guide wires.

Imho (and a long windy one at that), Lucas needs to wise up; and not just for the fans.  His own legacy is at risk.  If he is succesful, in 50 or 100 years when no one remembers the original versions and they review his work, what they might say is "Nice  But anyone with decent computer skills can do that"

Anyway, I really appreciate what all of you are doing.  You are giving me back a piece of my youth.  Please don't let the comments of a few idiots make you forget that.

Thanks again.  I look forward to the completion of v3 and project blu.

I coulda ben Pope, if not for Tycho's thumb!
