What is everyones influence as far as music goes?

I play guitar..or as I like to say I am a tele player first and a guitar player second. Bit of a Tele snob. As far as my musical influences ..being from the south I grew up on traditinal country music and bluegrass with a lot of 50s rock n roll thrown in.

My personal favs being Elvis, COnway Twitty, Waylon jennings, Gram Parsons, Earl thomas connely, the stanley brothers, flatt and scruggs, keith whitley, ricky skaggs, ricky nelson, lionel richie, sam cook. When I became a teen ager and started making friends I discovered 80s rock like motely crue and white snake, phil collins and genesis. I am 36 and I just disccovered DIO a few yrs ago when a friend suggested I listen t rainbow in the dark. Great song.Same friend also gave me my first taste of ozzy with goodbye to romance. Also a great song.

My heart is with country and bluegrass but I also love 80s rock and slow rock ballads. If there are any other musicians here id love to know your style taste.
