ehh forget it.lol were not talking a 1080p movie here were talking 3. i am over it i will just use the dvd,s like everybody else does. but i am still going to need a lot of pointers. i am working in sony vegas now getting my feet wet with a test movie. this movie is well its a rough piece of work to start with. the movie has only been released on dvd in russia. with no english audio. but there is a workprint in english i am attempting to use the 2.0 audio from. problem is it does not sync up. the workprint has a slightly different runtime then the dvd. and some scenes may be slightly different. all in all the audio is mostly the same but its missing some sound fx and mastering. so i have questions about syncing the audio. i know i will be needing to cut up the film and audio into peaces and sync each part. i still dont quite get the cutting and splicing in vegas. but mainly i wanna know what file formats i should use for the video and audio. the video source is now a single vob which i joined the parts to make. the english audio is ac3 2.0. as i understand it may be best to convert the audio to wav for the job is that right? and vegas is accepting the vob file fine. which is good cause its uncompressed. the audio may need stretching or fading to fit properly not sure how any of that works. i am not looking for a perfect file here just a watchable one. some pointers will save me a headache. this is just a learning project to prepare me for the trilogy fanedit. ah and also i would like to upscale the audio to 5.1 how does that work exactly? thanks for any help.
