The desire of political and corporate entities to eliminate adult situations / experiences so everything is suitable for children under the age of 10. But that's just the cover to make sure that 'they' remain the brand you see, not smaller organizations with alternative viewpoints.

Too late for parts of Manhattan, they pushed into Time Square, and now it's a white wash of mega media, lower Manhattan in the last 10 years pushed out the small and installed housing that only the well-to-do can afford. They've pushed independent peoples out into the other boroughs. Used to go to great book stores and see weird musical acts in great clubs and they're all closed or moved out of Manhattan.
