“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering
Back on to the topic of Return of the Jedi, it is still a great SW movie, OT or SE in my opinion. The ewoks are simply something that are more child friendily, like C3PO or R2D2. Also, it is not inconceivable they beat the legion of the Emperor's best stormtroopers because one legion is nothing compared to what would be thousands of Ewoks I am sure. It is simply a numbers game. Also I do think logs hitting Imperial Walkers is definately possible, we know from the movie they must be much heavier then regular Earth ones, otherwise the Walker head would not be smashed.
Yes, but also on the logic of the Walkers I think people forget something. The Imperial Walker who had its head smashed in by the logs was an AT-ST, not the big AT-AT's from ESB that we see Luke and the rest of Rogue Squadron fighting. And the difference between an At-ST and a AT-AT is quote alot in terms of size, weight, armor, shield, firing capacity, agility, etc...
an AT AT wouldnt be able to move in a forest, although we see one just before luke is handed to vader in ROTJ, but in a fight i doubt it would be much use.

Correct and I think by the same standard (I turn on my lightsaber to prepare for the attacks), Jar Jar Binks and the Gungans from Episode 1 have to be judged in the same light.
