Just read this in the sw.com article "Q & A from WonderCon":

When asked if the forthcoming DVDs would feature the original theatrical release versions of the trilogy or the Special Editions, Sansweet answered that the films contained on the discs would be the incarnations of the films "as George Lucas sees them today." He reminded people of the 1995 video release of the trilogy that hailed itself as the last time the original theatrical cuts would ever be available. "They weren't kidding," Sansweet noted.

I like the original cuts, I like some of the changes in the SEs and I even think that George Lucas is a nice and charismatic person. He always inspires sympathy in me when I watch interviews with him.

But what I simply can't understand is his narcistic perception of an artist's perogative outweighing the cultural demands of society and I sure as hell find Lucasfilm's marketing policies rather insulting as a customer.

I agree, especially if they then contradict themselves years later just to attempt to aquire more of my money, sad really. He should just release them both now.

It was unintentional, but now that you tell me about it, I remember.
They should do a second "Office Space", but focusing on the daily insanity faced by those who work at offices.

NO! Don't ruin the memory of that movie. Actually, there has been talk for a while about putting out a 2-disc SE of the movie. And Mike Judge had the stuff ready to go. But he had a big falling out with the company that distributed the movie and now he refuses to give them the stuff needed to make an SE. I guess he holds more rights to the movie so they can't do it without his go ahead. And he won't give it. He's upset about it because he knows he has the audience to buy it. But if he can't come to terms with the company, he won't do it and he won't let them do it without him.

Several times.
Under names like "SEs suck" or "SEs really really suck" or "SEs are gay".


When they ban me, I go to forum feedback and say "WTF? Why was I banned?!?!??!?!"
