Ever since Chainsaw Ash changed his avatar to the Professor, I've been confusing him for Frink somehow.

I'm either insulted or honored.
You can be both.

no he can't, he can only be one or the other.
^I've just thumbed through the rule book and that's not in my copy.

Flip a coin! ;-)
better yet:
take a coin with a face on both sides.
damage side so the face is deformed
flip the coin
if the undamaged side come up: be honored
if the deformed side come up: be insulted

Wait, are Repo and Across the Universe your examples of good musicals?
There are some much beloved musicals I don't like at all: South Pacific, Carosel, Oklahoma (to some degree), and others. Something being a 'musical' doesn't really increase or decrease my chance of liking something I guess... but I do like a fair number of musicals.+1
1776Cut from the same cloth, you and I are.
Hello Dolly
Music Man
The Pirates of Penzance
The Sound of Music
Disney Cartoon Musicals
Oliver!
Moulin Rouge!
Into the Woods
Paint Your Wagon
Man of LaMancha
Les Miserables
Phantom of the Opera
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Mary Poppins
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
My Fair Lady
Guys and Dolls (certain local performances)
That's all I can think of presently.
And I hate hate hate hate hate Cats.

But you haven't bolded Pirates of Penzance and Into the Woods!?!?
Have you not seen them, or you've seen and unliked them?
I grew up on the Penzance movie, so I can't be trusted to give an honest review... but it's on of our favourites. It just came out on DVD in the past six months- my young kids have watched it, and they thought it was pretty good.
I'd say definitely check it out if you haven't already.
And, as Warb pointed out, Fiddler is definitely a great musical. I was thinking about it as I made my list, but somehow managed to not actually put it on the list.

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
Bolded ones I've seen and liked. Oh yeah, I've seen Hello Dolly and liked it. The rest I haven't seen yet.
And I watched the first part of 1776. Didn't finish it before it had to go back to the library. I thought there was a lot of dialog for a musical, but it was entertaining. I don't think my wife cared enough for us to finish it.

These Random Musical Thoughts are not random enough for my taste.

Darnit Frink! Random does not have to mean a series of endless non-sequitors. Let it flow.
I saw Frank Wildhorn's "Dracula" musical during it's preview run in San Diego. It was AWESOME... the story was mostly the Coppola film, but the effects were outstanding and the music was great.
Later it opened on Broadway and became part of the three biggest flops of the decade... all about Vampires. "Dracula" "The Vampire Lestat" and "Dance of the Vampires" all royally bombed.
"1776" and "Newsies" are both musicals that I show when I teach US History.
The kids all HATE them... ... ... then I catch them humming the tunes.

It's funny, but they get a bigger kick out of that Mr. Finney from "Boy Meets World" is in 1776.
How old are the kids you teach that they know Mr Feeney more than Batman?TheBoost said:

I wonder how many people catch the nod to 1776 in "Boy Meets World"? The highschool in the show is named John Adams High.

I've only heard the songs in German but I thought it sounded like below par Lloyd Webber (and that's generally low).
I guess you had to be there.

EDIT: To be fair, I guess "the voice of KITT from the original Knight Rider" would make them old. That fact that I now have to specify "the original" makes me old.
It's only people like you that are keeping the memory of the stupid new series alive. Thanks a lot. Haha. (to be fair, I only watched the TV movie, but that was stupid)
But yeah, I'm guessing he teaches teens, cuz even elementary kids wouldn't remember that old Boy Meets World show now. :p
I feel so old right now : (
Newsies! Another great musical I missed!
My mom hates 1776. My wife loves it.
