I agree with Mr. Jones. Is there any way to cut out most of the plot but still have it make sense, or as much sense as it could? Maybe have them leave right after the "oops", i mean, the flirting is painful and was always kind of creepy.xhonzi said:
One little comment:
I enjoy the ridiculous moments much more than the "normal" ones. Take the "Are you a- person?/I can fix anything- Oops!" scene. I laugh everytime and it seems to be quite enjoyable to anyone I've shown... until he starts talking about angels. I'm watching this because it's funny and ridiculous... not to see the actual movie.
Well, I see what you guys mean, and I'm not done with the Ani meets Padme clip at this point anyway. The angel line was the point I stopped working on it, to be honest.
Ask anyone who has done a TPM edit - it's hard to cut a lot of plot and still have it make any sense. I like little moments not making sense but I still want it to be a movie in some way.
And I have to keep the "are you an angel" line because it's going to be a running gag. And at the end of their conversation, when Ani yells "hey" to Jar-Jar and then "hit the nose," he's now going to say "hey....are you an angel?"
I will probably cut or change the bit about the angels being so beautiful, however.
