Plus, since the GOUT was released on DVD, this site technically has no reason to continue existing per its own mandate, which was to get Lucas to release the unaltered trilogy on DVD. He's done that. The only thing left now is to whine about how he did it, and if you're honest with yourselves, you'll admit that there will be people who will continue to find something to complain about no matter what he does or how he does it.
To some extent that's true of anyone making anything (there will always be vocal unhappy consumers) but if the DVD release had been anything like sets of Ridley Scott, James Cameron, Steven Spielberg etc films or the disc sets for shows like Doctor Who where special editions and original editions sit side by side, presented in the best possible form the legitimate complaints about the OT would have been neutralised.
Instead there was a LD transfer which looked about the same as a passable bootleg flogged as a double dip marketing exercise.
Now the Blu-Ray is on the horizon, it looks as if it's going to be more of the same.
It's a legitimate cause to fight for whether you are interested in it or not.
You are following Adywan's projects and he has had his share of detractors too. The people complaining about aspects of Ady's work don't do so from the same position of people complaining about the GOUT.
Adywan hasn't access to the original film and hasn't withheld a decent release of it or charged people for an inferior one.
