Girl Next Door can’t be compared with Shawshank Redemption or It's A Wonderful Life as it will never be a 'Classic'. There are a few amusing moments, but it mostly made me 'smirk' or 'giggle' as apposed to 'laugh out loud'. It is not 'smart' or even that original, with 'Risky Business' being an obvious inspiration, however it’s clearly not as good. Its surprising this movie was 'R' rated in the states as the only people that would genuinely enjoy it would have to be way below that age. As a whole its more 'disappointing' then good
It was probably rated R for the boobs and the swearing. It would not been nearly as funny or sexy if they had ignorantly gone down to PG-13.
