What a great movie this is! Colin Firth was amazing, and I was utterly riveted throughout the entire thing. And can I say that the use of the Allegretto from Beethoven's 7th symphony was an inspired musical choice for the climax? Talk about making a scene transcendently powerful . . .
Pride and Prejudice fans may be pleased at the notion of a scene containing both Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. I wonder if they did that on purpose. ;)
I hope he Firth doesn't win the Oscar so I can say "I can't Believe It's Not Stutter!".

saw "The Visitor": pretty good, solid writing and acting, I liked very much the "music" theme (if you've seen it I know what I'm talking about, without spoiling anything)

the acting sucked but it's well worth watching for the visuals.
The A Team movie, as a fan of the original series i thought this was going to suck but it was pretty good.
Just picked up Blade Runner on blu today.
Currently watching the theatrical cut.
US or International? Not that it matters much, the only difference is the uncensored violence in the International cut.

Well, finished Blade Runner.
The Final Cut is still the best, but the theatrical is very sentimental to me.

It was the first time I'd seen the Blu-Ray color timing. And I hate to admit it ... but I like it better.

At least that is what I thought all the other times I had seen Labyrinth, which I am pretty sure was sometime before I even began high school. This time all I could think was, wow, she is a little kid. Kind of funny/weird to think back to how very attracted to her in that movie I was in my newly post pubescent (and even pre-pubescent) years.
The Box.
I had no interest (or very little, at least) until I saw that it was Screenwritten/Directed/Produced by Donnie Darko's Richard Kelly and a favourite author of mine- Richard Matheson.
I really enjoyed it. It's hard to say much without ruining it... but this movie was well marketed to keep its secrets intact, I think. Think the Trailer/Ending of Star Trek III, but the reverse where it's not in the trailer. Due to this fact, and the twisty-turny nature of the story, it's sure to keep you guessing until the end.
I would say that if you're interested in the body of work by either or both of the two previously mentioned people- then definitely check this one out. If you like suspense thrillers, check it out. If you want to see Jimmy Marsden in a movie where he isn't killed, kidnapped and brainwashed, or otherwise sidelined in the first 10 minutes... or plays "the other guy" in the love triangle... then check it out. It has a 5.8 on imdb.com, so be warned. But I found it very enjoyable right up until the end. Which we can talk about if someone else sees it.

Although it does have a couple of goofs. Only see it if you can handle such blatant (and I believe willful) anachronisms as the following:
When his parents are to the rehearsal dinner, Walter and his babysitter Dana are in the kitchen. Walter is playing with his Lego bricks. One of the towers he has built has a yellow 2x6 brick on top. These type of bricks were introduced by The Lego Company in 1981. The film is set in 1976.

I've heard a lot of people walked out of the theatre when they saw that 2x6 yellow brick. Boy were they surprised to be told later that it was really a subtle clue as to the ending of the film.
