I have episode 6 of season 2 to watch later, from what im told the series is starting to get good.
Two seasons in? Jeez, we lost patience before the first season ended. Congrats to those that held out.Johnny Ringo said:
Just saw the latest episode and finally the show feels like it's going somewhere. For the first time I was excited - there was still a bit of padding but things have basically gotten to a point of no return now.
This is where the story should have been a season ago.

I know that a TV series has to pad things out, but jeez, when it takes two seasons to get to the point where the original miniseries was in a few hours... :-)

Damn, is this show in danger of being canceled? I sure hope not, I just finished Season 2, I have them on my DVR and the show got a lot better as it went along, but what is up with the BIG TIME cliffhanger ending for Season 2, there better be a Season 3 LOL.
I've been watching it, although I'm not sure I'm fully up to date. I like the "look" of the show, the technology and all. But it's not really a very good story at all... it's pretty ridiculous how everybody keeps all the evidence against the V's a secret. "We can't tell anyone yet" seems the never-ending mantra. And the son (Tyler) seriously gets on my nerves every time he's on screen.
But I'll tell you what, I don't trust grandma AT ALL.

Going by your comments you are DEFINITELY NOT up to speed.
So, I watchted the Show from the first episode to "Devil in a blue dress". It's not bad, but it is not really good either. It tries to be something, what it is definitely not: a second "Battlestar Galactica". For example, Marco Beltrami copies the music of Bear McCreary in a way, that can only be described as shameless. Morena Baccarin looks, as always with short hair, as if her neck is eight inches too long. That look gives me the creeps.
The characters are shallow and stereotypical, or, as Tyler, dumb and pesky. And bringing back Jane Badler as Diana doesn't make the show any better. Her overblown acting look like she tries to play shakespeare on a train station's toilet. Another look hat gives me the creeps are the effects. They're giong from good (Makeup) to really crappy (as in Episodes II and III, the mothership's interior are no real sets, but computer generated sets with actors in front of blue/greenscreens).
I watched it, and I'll continue to watch, because, as I said, it's not that bad. It's just not as innovative as it pretends to be...
I like this second series more than the first one but the story line is so dragged out. Good to see Marc Singer in the show, pity he wasnt his original character from the original series.

I thought the same thing when I started watching the show last year when it first came out, it was trying a little to hard to be BSG, which it could never do. It was just so heavy-handed, and almost every character annoyed me. The decision making of these people is just ludicrous! Admittedly I gave up after a handful of episodes.
As for Morena though, even though that haircut is awful, she's always gorgeous

Not exactly what you asked, but I once wrote a TV pilot based on the original V miniseries. It was the same idea, but when the aliens tear off their human masks, they all look and act like me. The most disturbing part was the young women who shacks up with one of the aliens, and gets pregnant with twins. The first baby comes out and seems normal, but then opens his mouth and says "There's my mom. She's tired from delivering me. And there's the doctor. And several nurses. And..." Suddenly, the first baby is interrupted when the second baby is born, and he has my face, hair, and tunic. It was chilling.
No one would buy the script, but man, was it sweet.
This is why we need Ric Classic back.
You know this franchise reminds me a lot of Highlander, I like the first film but everything else with the logo on it causes me a great deal of pain.
