It was just a reference, it wasn't the actual video they were working with. I believe it was made from the video they were working with, but it was much lower quality since it was just meant to be a timecode copy.
Ahh... gotcha. How much lower is it? Despite its lower quality, would it still have been better than most laserdisc preservations or the GOUT?
