I still think its funny they took the only one of the 2 known made Technicolor copies of star wars and spliced in the Eastman stock that was pre LPP,lol.

The 1981 crawl was completely faded to red right ?

The other almost untouched print is in George Lucas private collection, the Senator theatre one they borrowed from a collector was on the market for sale, i saw it on Ebay once.

I wonder if that Collector is even aware of the value of that print seeing as there were only 2 made.  And the fact they had it screened publicly with the chance Lucas would take it back and destroy it is hard to believe.

I would definitely pay to see either of the Technicolor prints on DVD or Blu ray.

 

Despite Harris misgivings about Transferring a technicolor print as being a poor source.
