What Death Star interiors color is supposed to be cannon in the Star Wars Universe? Gray like in the original 1977 and 1997 SE edition version or blue like in 2004 remastered one? And which color you prefer?
P.S.: Can anyone provide me any non-movie pictures of them, like from comic books, video games, sketches, cross-overs etc.
A recent screening of a 1977 Technicolor print shows that the death star's interior is supposed to have a subtle blue hue, which was also present in the 1997 SE (which actually has very accurate colors, since it was timed to match Lucas' 1977 reference print).
The 2004 DVDs radically screwed up the colors, though, so they are not a good reference at all.
And the 2006 letterboxed DVDs of the theatrical versions are rather desaturated, so they're also not a great color reference.
I think the 97 version has very good color, and it still has Sebastian Shaw, the worst change is still untampered with in this version.
